I know he's not young anymore, and I know he is currently unemployed. From what I understand, he went on the IR with a Staph infection- seemingly an easier injury to return from than anything structural. His number the last few years before the injury were huge, though, and at 33 I'd figure he'd have a couple of years left in the tank.

Does anybody know anything at all about his current situation? Will he come back to play or is he done?

the Seattle defense didn't seem to miss him very much

some team will probably sign him eventually though.

He looked a step slow in 2004 with the Texans and nothing special even when healthy in 2005. Probably a guy some team signs to a 1 year contract, especially when the injury bug hits.

For fantasy purposes, he should be on no more than your watch list for an in-season waiver wire pick up.

Anyone heard anything about Sharper playing again? With camps opening and not a whisper, I'm thinking it doesn't look good...

I think he will be a guy like J. Foreman who tries out for a few teams and gets cut after a couple of practices. He definitely had a good run for quite some time.
