No serious punk took Sleater-Kinney seriously when they were around. I love the retrospective hagiographies I've been reading. They're a band for the music press to love because they're feminist women. Sorry to burst the revisionist bubble. Even their best album cover is derivative. It's difficult to even get through their albums.
