Not arguing that - but he was finished as a spokesman for Subway whether he proclaimed his innocence or not. If it turns out he is never charged with anything, his career will be over from guilt by association, similar to all the lives ruined by the Joseph McCarthy era witch hunts of suspected communists.

Thats the problem with public perception

It doesn't matter if you SAY you have nothing to do with this, people will automatically start to question the WAY you say you have nothing to do with this to come to their own conclusion.
