Javon Walker... How Bad Is The Knee? (1 Viewer)

Javon has been plagued by his bum knee for the entire season. Can he return to being a stud or is the writing on the wall? Anybody heard any defining news or no much about his injury. He is cheap for a fantasy keeper, but the inflamation just won't go away.

He finally got a couple catches this week. I think he'll be good to go next season...He'll have an entire offseason to heal. That team is really young. They need a guy like Javon in the line up. That and a RB that can stay healthy...

I will preface this by saying I'm a Broncos homer.

Marshall, Walker, Scheffler, Stokley and with Graham chipping in, that has a chance to be a very special offense. I for one think the Denver run game is overrated, especially the past few years. Since they lost Gibbs, it hasn't been the same.

Walker if he remains in Denver, will be a solid addition to the offense, but with the ball being spread around as much as it is, I can't see him being anything more than a decent WR2/superb WR3 on your fantasy team.

Then again all this is for not if they dont' fix up that defense. So many holes (DT, DE, MLB, SLB, FS.....ugggh)

Wasn't talk of possible microfracture surgery being talked about in regards to Walker. If so, he's a big risk.
It was only an internet rumor. One that keeps getting resurfaced due to posts like these.
It was more than just an internet rumor as the news outlets out of Denver were reporting it, clown.
Yeah I read it in the Denver newspapers too. Awful lot of press on it in both ink & internet, for it to have only been a rumor.Seriously, has the microfracture surgery talk been definitively debunked, or is there still legs to it?Denver  ?SSOG?

2 catches for 14 yards doesn't show anything. And he prob won't play much Week 17. I think he will be somewhere else next year

Reporters speculated he may need it but didn't name any sources.

Bailey uncertain; Walker out longer

Denver coach Mike Shanahan said this afternoon that Walker's arthroscopic right knee surgery performed in Houston went well, but the doctors said Walker will likely be out six weeks, meaning he'll likely return in early December. Shanahan said Thursday that Walker, who has missed the past two games, was expected to miss four weeks.

Shanahan said there was no major damage and that Walker would not need microfracture surgery.

Have fun with this guy Bronco fans, his me first attitude will work well for you.

How glad I am that the Packers did not give him more money and traded him away for a pick.

Would you Bronco fans rather have a young Jennings or a greedy Walker?

I have been watching Walker and he can`t get any separation. Either his knee is worse than reported or he has lost a step.

 Also have this guy this year and won't be investing any picks in him next year. The injury and the trauma of watching Darrent Williams bleed to death in his arms has changed Walker - focus isn't there and his knee isn't right. My .02.

I actually I remember Walker as a pretty good guy until he signed Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. That is when he became me first.

Let me preface with THIS IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART. J Walker has had an ACL tear in his past which means at least part or all of his medial meniscus may have been damaged. He is now getting repeated swelling in that knee. Smells to me like a guy with some bone on bone contact which may be why they were talking about microfracture surgery being needed in the press. I own Walker

I have no real knowledge of his injury

but...I have some real concerns about his future given the past three years...

I think this guy will be a real steal next year. I think, given the offseason to "fully" heal, and his poor performance this year he will free fall in drafts next year. Take a flyer and I think you will be better off because of it...

That may be true but Brandon Marshall has taken over as the go to guy in Denver.

I think that remains to be seen. We need a healthy Walker in there before we can make that conclusion. Shanahan may have already made the decision and could cut Walker and then MArshall would be the go to guy, but that doesn't make it an absolute. Remember it looked like Michael Clayton had taken over for Galloway in TB. Are we writing off Marvin Harrison now since Wayne has been playing the X WR most of the year? It sure didn't look like Marshall was the go to guy in weeks 1 and 2 when Javon had 100 yards each game...

:lmao: If Walker ever gets healthy I think he would be a low #1 or high #2. He is great when he is healthy. I do not buy he will play second fiddle to Marshall.

Walker has had 2 /1000 yard seasons in 6 years. That is your risk with Walker. Marshall has 1 / 1000 yard season in two years and his stats this year are better than Walker's last year when he was healthy. If I am Denver he is gone because he is not worth $7.5 million.

That's the big issue here. He needs to renegotiate or he's going to be taking a low 1 year deal somewhere else. Nobody is going to be offering him a long term contract and multiple years after this year....
