thanks id like to buy one of those portable ones and use it with my older ipod and my samsung galaxy s4. Im not looking for a home theater one cuz I have a son and my ipod isnt exactly the best thing for him to listen to lol. I am looking for one I can occasionally play around the house when hes not home but mostly to bring to the beach, on vacation, to work, etc.

I bought the Bose Mini.

But, the first purchase I made... the Big Jambox ($215), Amazon didn't cancel it in time before shipping. So, it is apparently on its way. Do I keep it or return it? Hook it up to tv instead or some other place? Thoughts?

play them both and return the one you don't like

I actually bought one of these in the summer because of Dentist's recommendation. I love it as well. So portable and a surprisingly good sound for something about the size of a hockey puck.
glad you love it. I wouldn't try to entertain at a party with it, but I guess it's just different devices for different folks. if you didn't have a home stereo or wanted it for a tailgate party or something, I could see where the nicer one would be much much better.

out of curiosity, what type of battery life are you getting out of yours? I'm finding upwards of 10 hours if not using bluetooth, and maybe about 6 with bluetooth.
I have only used it with bluetooth. I'd say I have the same experience as you. It lasts a long time. Perfect for the beach, hanging out on the deck or anywhere really except maybe for a large outdoor party.

So Im debating between the Jawbone Jambox and the JBL Charge. The Charge seems to get better reviews and is considered louder. And its cheaper. Thinking thats the way to go.

Had jambox mini for a year now, not bad at all. Dropped multiple times from different heights and still operates, even dropped in mud and now it is perma discolored but still plays fine. However, not that loud, will be looking into some of these other options.
