Jaws leaves MNF (1 Viewer)

gruden sucks, starting with his pre-game interviews on the bus.

i must be missing something, i've watched/listened to football for 30 plus years and thought it was blatantly obvious that jaws was an asset in that booth.

I agree. I've also watched/listened to football for just as long. While I will admit that Jaws' analysis could get overly descriptive at times, I never felt that the point he was making was being missed by the average fan. In fact, I always felt he was informative and helped the average fan understand the game better. I also felt that Jaws was informative enough for the knowledgeable fan to enjoy and appreciate his commentary.

Jaws>>Gruden
I liked it the way it was. I think if one had to go, it has to be Jaws because he and Mike would be a little dry. Jaws is very good at breaking down the game and of course the QB position.I personally don't look at it as Gruden over Jaws or Jaws over Gruden but I think chemistry wise Gruden and Mike will be a more intetesting pair.I'll still look forward to watching Jaws break down games back in the studio.

I thought there were too many, "I was going to say that, Jon," moments from Jaws in the game. It wasn't that blatant but the analysis often reflected it. Jaws' pat statements and method of delivery might have also gotten old for some. Gruden frequently cut him down on air. Even if it was a good-natured jab, I think Gruden looked more on-point on air than Jaws - even if that perception was just that, a perception.

I simply think the booth was too crowded and Jaws/Gruden offered too much of the same things.
