Tremendous Upside

Not only have they turned it over, BUT THEY ARE TAKING PICTURES!!
"we just want to show you a contrast to the riots"Tom Rinaldi is categorically terrible. He should be embarrassed of this reporting effort, he's trying to get an Emmy with no interviews, no video and no information. ESPN could have just left a stationary camera on a balcony nearby and got better reporting.

no, you are making things up. the police investigated sandusky and even recorded him admitting to the mother of a victim that he might have touched her child, and that he wished he was dead. there are other damning details that i dont feel like looking up. this information was passed up the chain to the DA. for some reason he decided not to pursue it. incidentally, 7 yrs later he disappeared under mysterious circumstances one of which is that his hard drive data was completely unrecoverable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_GricarThey were called in Victim 1 case. They told the mother to drop the charges. Read the indictment pdf. I posted it earlier in the thread. The police had no role in suppressing these charges, because the police were never called.Paterno's role seems small because he didn't care enough to make his role bigger. He could have been a hero but he'll always be considered a coward from here on out.But ask yourself, who has more fault? Spandusky or Paterno? Curley and Schultz, or Paterno? The University itself, or Paterno?
I feel there is plenty of fault to go around, but, from reading the indictment, Paterno's role was much smaller than many, many people involved in this. Including the police, if they had any role in suppressing these charges.
Back to John Barr!!"it's pretty calm here. Umm..there's some cops. Uh, they're standing next to a media truck. Lot of communities sent their cops here. Umm, it probably took those cops some time to get here. A duck just walked by."Not only have they turned it over, BUT THEY ARE TAKING PICTURES!!
Seriously. Somewhere like 8 guys that don't care about football are making out like bandits.still no hot girls seen
Not surprisingESPN has hit a new low.

Well, in the link I posted, which is the official indictment published by the Attorney General, the Assistant testified that he told Paterno "what he had seen" and what he saw was very graphic. So if you have something that says he told Paterno something less than he had seen, I'd like to see that. The testimonies of Paterno and the Grad Student are in a different document regarding Victim 2, who was never identified. They are both consistent. I will look for a pdf I can publish. You can't access the document I am looking at. And I was replying to an earlier post which said that the mother had called the police but was told to drop charges under Victim 1. I may have misunderstood the Police stopping investigating with dropping the charges.Edit to add: I published the same link earlier in the thread.Hey Hairy Snowman, please reread the indictment here: http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2011/1107/espn_e_Sandusky-Grand-Jury-Presentment.pdfYou keep getting everything wrong in it. It says nowhere that the Assistant Coach says he gave Paterno a watered down version of events. He actually says he told both the President and Paterno all the details that he saw. It's Paterno and the President who say he gave them watered down versions, and at least in the case of the President, the grand jury thought he was lying. The victim the assistant coach saw was never identified, so there was no mother to call the police, as you stated earlier. You are confusing that victim with another.Nor did i see where any mother was asked to drop the charges, as you state. Maybe you got that from somewhere else. The police department in several cases either failed to follow up or outright told the officers involved to stop investigating, which goes to how wired the town was.
No doubt. A lot of people at PSU having trouble sleeping tonight. The more I think about this, the more I think this is going to get a LOT worse when people start to speak freely about what they knew while at PSU. The culture that kept this under wraps for over a decade has been cracked, and when it crumbles, what we will see underneath will shock us.
Pretty awesome stuff.I like this live footage of a tree climber.
I agree. This is just starting, it will get much worse. The more I think about this, the more I think this is going to get a LOT worse when people start to speak freely about what they knew while at PSU. The culture that kept this under wraps for over a decade has been cracked, and when it crumbles, what we will see underneath will shock us.
And now for the insurance roundup, let's go to Murray Goldstein"a lot of property damage claims going to be filed here to tonight" -- John Barr
Read post just above. I think I may have misunderstood a previous post regarding how Victim 1's case had been dropped (stopped investigated).I still think the point that this was institutional is still valid. Paterno was reporting it. He wasn't trying to suppress it.no, you are making things up. the police investigated sandusky and even recorded him admitting to the mother of a victim that he might have touched her child, and that he wished he was dead. there are other damning details that i dont feel like looking up. this information was passed up the chain to the DA. for some reason he decided not to pursue it. incidentally, 7 yrs later he disappeared under mysterious circumstances one of which is that his hard drive data was completely unrecoverable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_GricarThey were called in Victim 1 case. paterno knew about the 98 incident almost certainly. sandusky retired that offseason, despite being the top assistant in the country and only 55 yrs old.
paterno obv knew about 02 as did other curley and schultz. their solution was that sandusky could no longer appear on campus with kids. think about that for a bit.
"You guys want me to hang here?"![]()

It really only was a matter of timeNow they're blaming it on the minorities.
What a joke of an organization. Stuart Scott."You guys want me to hang here?"![]()

Totally on point here. I fear what we've found out so far is only the tip of the icebergI agree. This is just starting, it will get much worse. The more I think about this, the more I think this is going to get a LOT worse when people start to speak freely about what they knew while at PSU. You're not considering all those insurance claims, bud.Blame the police for not being prepared?Seems like they were pretty prepared and effective seeing as how thousands of students resulted really in some minor property damage and lasted like 2 hoursMorons
Man these dorks don't know how to riot.

Really has ruined what could have potentially been a great one.Man these dorks don't know how to riot.
Stuart Scott ApologistI think Steve and Stuart were unprepared and would rather go home than talk about this fake riot.
15 years ago, St. Pete burned for a day straight. Stu would be hiding under his desk covering that.I've witnessed more damage and outrage at a Detroit city council meeting.
