**Jets at Patriots**(+7, 41) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

It sure looks like 2 bad football teams and this is the 2nd meeting of the season
I would pass on this game for betting purposes but so many of us are forced to take one if you have a weekly Odds pool you take part in

Jets -7 but I can't come up with a reason why except it's hard to fathom a 2-6 Jets team with Rodgers being healthy every week at Quarterback
Since Maye took over at QB the offense looks better but the Patriots don't look like they can win a lot of games playing hard nose defense, they are called soft by their own Head Coach
Is there any way Mayo could be a 1 and done as Head Coach? I doubt it but you never know if they want someone a little more offensive minded at some point for Maye

That makes this game a scary one between two bad teams.
Rookie quarterback for The Home Team,that's scary.
Crumbling veteran quarterback for The Visitors,that's scary.
Pretty big number for a home dog,that's scary.
I just can't see The Jets being a touchdown favorite over any team right now,except maybe a home game against Carolina.
But their not at home and their not playing Carolina.

Scary Rookie Quarterback's Team- 23
 
These announcers are sort of disgraceful. I get that the Jets are playing badly, but they’re not even talking about the game anymore. That was a blocked punt they missed.

I hate this crew.
 
And not because they’re negative about the Jets. That’s fair. But they’re missing a game here because they’re not telling the story.
 
And unless he’s hurt I’m going to question why Hall isn’t running every down. Did they use up his Patriots carries in the last game of last year?

And this guy needs to shut up.

More short yardage situations, I think.

That was what my post above was about. Allen has done nothing with his carries. Hall is averaging nine yards a carry.

If they lose because they were getting cute with these guys I’m gonna blow a gasket.

That’s who it is, huh? I’m used to the voice because of the Jets, but he’s egregiously bad today. He’s stopped telling the story and just decided to rip on one team.

Adam Archuleta is the color guy. He’s terrible. That’s who is pissing me off. It’s funny if you Duck Duck Go “Adam Archuleta” and go to images. Hilarious, actually. Have a gay day!
 
Yeah, they’re not letting Zeurlein attempt a 56 yard field goal when Jacoby Brissett is the quarterback for NE. I mean, unless you’re nuts.

He was trying to pull the throw back. Intent matters for intentional grounding.

Looks like he was looking for Davante Adams the way he’s reacting coming off of the field.

It's either a fumble or it's a forward pass. It was a forward pass to a lineman. I get that it was "really" a fumble, but by the letter of the rulebook it was a forward pass.

Right, and officials use discretion about whether or not the QB was trying to ground. It’s not a strict liability call where they take the power away from the officials and say that all passes that fall at the lineman’s feet are grounding even if there’s no RB in the area.

I’m pretty sure of that.
 
Zeurlein is going to cost the Jets their season.

Stiff. There are so many good kickers out there and the Jets haven’t found one in a long time. Zeurlein settled the position down, but has never been great—in case anybody is wondering.

Braelon Allen is the short-yardage back. It’s pretty clear. Breece is getting first crack, but they’re not going to mess around with 2nd and goal from the two after they just handed Breece the ball from the four.

We know this. We didn’t know this at the beginning of the year, but it’s been clear for weeks now. I personally think it’s silly to give Allen double digit carries to average 2.7 YPC, but hey, to each team its own.

Now let’s see if the Jets can hold on here. They might not.
