Jimmy Graham's last catch (1 Viewer)

So does anyone know why Graham's last catch was ruled incomplete? He held on the the ball after being laid out. Shouldnt it have been a catch and 1/2 the distance penalty after the catch? Why wasn't it reviewd? What are the chances of a stat correction?

Zero chance of stat correction regardless of whether, in hindsight, it was a catch or not. As to whether or not it should have been a catch, no, I think they made the right call.

Yep.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skaFY7eh-LcNot the highest quality video, but it appeared as if he might have been juggling it a bit before getting drilled.

Compared to the Calvin Johnson play, how is this even considered remotely close to being a catch? What constitutes a catch has to be the most inconsistent and confusing rules in football.

well, it looked like he caught it, spun around to move forward( football move)and was hammered. I just thought it was close to being a fumble after watching the clip.

I don't think this was a catch, but if it was...wouldn't this be like the Hakeem Nicks catch that was adjusted? It was like a 20-yarder that they just magically added after the fact. How do they do that, yet this couldn't be corrected similarly? They could be totally different circumstances, I'm just wondering.

I watched the whole game, haven't re-looked at the play. At the time, I had no problem with the call of no-catch. I don't remember thinking it was even close.

Sadly, I lost my game by 1.5 pts due to that non-catch (PPR).

Totally different. Nicks made the catch, but the officials decided to go with the Pass Interference that was called without consulting the Giants coaches. Obviously, the team would take the result of the play in that case - so the league gave Nicks the catch and the yards after the fact since it was completely the fault of the officiating crew for screwing Nicks and Manning out of yards they had earned.

Thank you, I couldn't watch the game so I didn't know the context of that one. That makes much more sense.

I thought Nicks was ruled out of bounds (no catch) play was not reviewed.
