Jodi Arias case (2 Viewers)

Nancy Grace: 'Bombshell!'
This is the first time I ever watched Nancy Grace. Love the soft focus they use on her. :lmao:
Soon you will want to punch her in the face. She always cuts off anyone who disagrees with her.
I've seen her cut a lawyer's mike to get him to stop! I always wondered why these guys keep coming back only to be mocked or cut off.Dr. Drew is the best coverage. He has peeps in the courtroom who tell you what they see in there with the jury and convey the feel that you don't get outside the court room.

If there wasn't already a film out called "The Fog," this would be a great title for Jodi Arias film which we know is coming. :excited:

I think she made a huge mistake to take the stand. Before she started testifying it didn't look like she would get the death penalty, but now it looks like a real possibility.

Her huge ego is going to get her fried.

She's a malignant narcissist, so yup, she's her own worst enemy and she put herself on full display when she testified.

Yup, I wonder if she'll set the record for days on the stand. It's going on 20 I think, insane.

She had no choice but to take the stand. She lied about being there, then lied about 2 masked men doing it and her escaping, then said it was self defense. She was forced to take the stand to explain the self defense case while explaining her constant lies.

18 days--- and she's finally done! No more Jodi on the stand! She looked pretty scared and breathed a big sigh of visible relief when it ended today!

I've never heard so many objections from the defense! Thankfully most are overruled! :excited:
You seem really caught up in this.
I've always been fascinated by what makes people go over the edge like this. Comes from having a psych degree. I guess being unemployed comes at a good time for at least I have something I'm interested in to watch every day.
Ditto, though I haven't followed this case. If you haven't discovered it yet, murderpedia.org is great to browse.

Thanks! This case is the most entertaining I've ever seen. Forget any "reality show." The self defense claim is a joke. I mean this chic lies even a few minutes later with a straight poor me face while being smug. I think if she is not charged with murder 1 or 2 that there will be a riot! If she's acquitted, she would have to move to no man's land for her safety.

Since she is the only witness to the alleged perversions, pedophilia, and abuse, if she didn't take the stand there would be no way for this story to be relayed, so she pretty much had to.

In hindsight, she probably should have used the strategy of getting on the stand and acting totally insane. Her answers were insane so that part was good to go, she just didn't act insane.

I also think it might have scored more points with the jury if she replaced all those smug smirks with a look of horror.

It's a little unfair in Phoenix because they don't dedicate entire days to trials due to a morning calendars. On my trial days there I consider it a win if we are actually on the record with witnesses testifying for more than three hours that day.

Would most definately bang Jennifer Willmott. She's on screen right now. If I was in Arizona and committed a crime, I would ask for her to handle me and my case.

Why are they wasting so much time and money on this psycho. Who does she think she is O.J?
1. She's hot & a 3 hole wonder. If she was some fat, ugly, hog woman, this would never get this much coverage. CNN would never devote the whole afternoon to this trial, 3 hours of ### clowns discussing it from 7-10 and now a new show devoted strictly to her lies with their own 'jury'. They would have just let Nancy handle it and she would already have moved on to the legless dude in South Africa.

I highly doubt it's because she's above average looking. The crime is very horrendous and shocking, not to mention all the lies told before the trial. Women watching this trial, and there are tons especially those who have really been abused, could give a crap less about her looks.Also......... wth is going on with a new defense?? No longer self defense but something like just reacted to fear in the moment?? How can they keep changing course??

If you went to mydeathspace and looked at some of the heinous crimes on there, you would agree with me. Stuff you have never heard about that is insane. As bad as this one is, there is some #### out there that makes her look like a novice psycho killer. The fear in the moment move? Gotta try something. The gun is really a monkey wrench because she doesn't have it. She could have even tried to say that she brought it along in case her car broke down on the way (which goes with the gas cans move), brought it into the house and then when things went 'south' as she claims, she went for it. Since she tossed it, that scenarios is tough to use.

So help me out here. Ok so we know about how she could have memory loss with the psych sitting on the stand for 3 hours. He's giving generals. No one, including him, can say if this pertains to Jodi or not.

Isn't there enough logical and some conclusive evidence that already shows pre-meditation? I thought the prosecutor did a great job showing pre-med?

I assume the prosecutor will be crossing examining these dudes and will have his own witnesses to present??

This chic is sharp as a tack. These psych tests she took really isn't hard to figure out how to answer the questions in order to get the dx. Also this psych saw her in 2009, several months after the murder. She had a year to study up on PTSD and memory loss..

Future nutjob killers are taking notes on PTSD and memory loss from today's very detailed lecture. :excited:
As are the lawyers that will represent them (but it won't matter). I seriously doubt this gets her off. Everyone knows she did it, it's just what is the punishment. Best result is 2nd degree murder which is what the defense offered in a plea. This is only helping stoop a death penalty if anything. However, the casey anthony verdict says that any verdict is still possible.Tonight at 8:00 on CNN: BOMBSHELL!!!!!!!

Nancy Grace: 'Bombshell!'
This is the first time I ever watched Nancy Grace. Love the soft focus they use on her. :lmao:
Soon you will want to punch her in the face. She always cuts off anyone who disagrees with her.
I could only take about 5 minutes of it before shutting it off. I doubt I'll tune her in again.
Tonight is one of the nights you need to see her in action. The defense had a good day and that will set her off. She may have a few of her own 'experts' lined up and if they stray from her agenda, look out.

 I was only into the trial while Jodi was on the stand. I doubt I'll follow it more than just reading this thread until the verdict so I won't be tuning into any TV shows about it. Her testimony was great TV though.

Most tests have questions built in for malingering. Yes, you could theoretically fake your way into a diagnosis, but that takes a lot of sophisitication and familiarity with the test questions.

The written tests which I have taken as a student such as the MMPI is 500 questions with majority being repeated in different ways. If you are tuned in to that and don't answer questions to the extreme and keep it consistent then you can probably fake your way to a dx. Unfortunately such tests are not conclusive. They give you an idea of what's probably going on with the pt but unlike physical illness, mental illness is not so cut and dry which makes it really hard to treat.

I am going to admit something embarrassing in that my fiance is so obsessed with this case we rarely watch anything other than Jodi Arias trial and we watched Dr. Drew tonight. Apparently this expert psychological witness advertises on his website "I will win a case for you" so he is a career expert witness and apparently advertises the fact that he will win cases for you (as long as you pay him). Additionally, Dr. Drew had on some other psychologists, including himself, that say within the profession there are extensive tests you can give to someone where they have to answer a lot of questions so you can begin to diagnose them and this dude who was on the stand today did the ghetto version of that. Apparently these tests are usually 100s of questions long and the one he did on Jodi was 30 questions. This led them all into a tirade about the validity of his findings and questioning whether or not they could have found an expert witness who would be a bit more thorough. My personal reaction to the guy on the stand today was that he looked like a clown and not very professional and why in the world couldn't they have found someone better than this considering these people get paid a lot of money to testify. Would a dude with a haircut that didn't make him look like Bozo be too much to ask? Also all of his references were about police officers and veteran soldiers with PTSD which I think is slightly offensive comparing Jodi Arias to and I wonder if the jury is going to react the same way.Cross-examination should be a hoot tomorrow. I originally wasn't a huge Juan Martinez fan, but after his final cross-examination of Jodi after the jury questions, I felt that guy knows what he is doing.

Seriously? You ever wonder notice how of the 600,000+ people that are reported missing each year, it's the missing attractive white women that makes national news?

Martinez has been great imo. People need to understand that this is the way he is. He's known as a bulldog in the courtroom. He will rip this clown to shreds. It's all smoke and mirrors to try and gain a vote or two from the jury. I hope none of them are buying this BS.
