He's a lot of bluster and is too theatrical. Some of that can be okay, and you certainly need to maintain witness control, but a raised voice is like using a highlighter- if you highlight everything, you have highlighted nothing. He's able to get away with it here because he's got so much ammunition and there's so little sympathy you can muster at this point for Jodi and her hack psychologist, but if he had a sympathetic defendant, e.g. the classic battered wife who murdered her husband, he could very well engender sympathy with his bullying approach.I agree he is a clown, but the way Martinez acts sometimes makes himself a side show also.I loved it. This psychologist guy is a clown.If I was a juror, Martinez would offend me the way he is grilling the doctor. So he bought her a book, big deal.
