Is anyone dampening expectations for Carlson with the acquisitions of Colbert and Robinson? He'll still have the most familiarity with Hasselbeck.

He was great last week and led the team in receptions (6-twice as many as the #2 wr) and yards. He's 5th in targets, 3rd in yards and 4th in recpts. They are playing the horrid Rams this weekend and while the Hawks may have traded/signed a few bodies they still won't know the playbook nor have Hass's confidence. Carlson is a great start again this week and for the forseeable future.....

How many rookie TEs have had a productive season? In recent memory (past 10 years), I count zero.

Historically, the TE position has provided some pretty good rookie seasons. Not as many in recent years but a few. I'm not too worried about a comment from the guy who did not even know Carlson was a TE. I think Carlson will prove to be a solid play this year (weak TE#1 or very good TE#2 for fantasy teams).

Look up the following players and their rookie seasons:Scheffler

Gates

Gonzalez

Witten

Heap

Crumpler

Be worried all you like. Stats don't lie.

I wouldn't even touch Carlson unless you are in a TE mandatory league or in a deep dynasty league.

I don't think anyone is on here pimping him as a WR2

I don't think its a matter of rookie's themselves having a good year while playing TE. I think it's more a matter of What TE has ever played on a team his rookie year that went through the WR injury bug that Carlson had.
