Talk radio sees an attack on them even when there is no attack on them. Hell, something they were okay with previously might be an attack on them today because it fits their narrative today. Calling McCain a traitor to the people of America is more over the top than anything we’ve seen in the McCain services. IMO the whole “maverick” thing is a bit overblown if you look at the whole of his record over several decades, but never once did I think the guy was a traitor, even when I disagreed with him.
