John McCain (1 Viewer)

John McCain is a neocon that helped get millions of people killed.  Millions.  There's nothing patriotic or heroic about that.  It is the opposite of those things.  Ultimate betrayal.  Sending other people's kids to go die in a war.  There's simply no way to honor him without discounting the unthinkable bloodshed and mass murder that happened because of people like him. Just handwave it away like a fly buzzing around.
I wonder what you will say when Trump dies. The millions left in debt, poverty, hungry, had Trump got his way. Instead, you can recount the 1% and how they were able to keep the middle class down. I wonder, no I really don't, the disdain you will show Trump if the above is what you show McCain. Geez.

That funeral, and particularly the speeches, were fully orchestrated and designed to be a rebuke and an attack against Donald Trump and his brand of nativism and populism. There is no way to sugarcoat that fact.

No doubt in my mind that right wing talk radio will see this as an attack against them (which it was) and will respond angrily next week.
How sad that a funeral, a celebration of life turned into a political fiasco. Shame on everyone

Talk radio sees an attack on them even when there is no attack on them. Hell, something they were okay with previously might be an attack on them today because it fits their narrative today. There is only one side to the coin in "Talk Radio Land" and they easily forget, willingly, that they were never on the other side of the two-sided coin of Reality.

HT I think you have a problem, as do Trump and his followers, if you hear proclamations of heroism, service, patriotism and instead feel they are statements against Trump.

McCain was neither bitter nor filled with hate. He did not want either Trump or Palin to attend his funeral because he did not wish his funeral to be used as a political stunt or to promote either of them. A quite reasonable and, IMO, admirable decision.
:lmao:

McCain was a hateful human being. And a vengeful human being.

He betrayed the state of AZ and the Republican Party with his "no" vote on repealing Obamacare after he campaigned to do exactly that for 6 straight years. Total disgrace.

Not inviting his running mate to his funeral is one of the trashiest things a loser of a presidential election could do. If not for Palin he would have lost 424-11. Nobody voted for HIM, they voted for HER or against Obama.

"Did not want his funeral to be used as a political stunt"

:lmao:

What do you think this entire production has been?

None of you (nor the media, nor the Dems in DC) would give two ####s about McCain's death if he was not owned by Trump.

As the full details come out about his role in the attempted coup John McCain will be forever remembered as a stain on this country.

Enjoy this week of fake adoration for a traitor to his state, his party, and the people of America. The most over the top services we will ever see in our lifetime.

The phony adoration in this thread is absurd.

Can't wait to see the slobbering over the Bushes when they die after they have been crucified for 30 years.

All because Trump broke you.

They don't want facts in this thread.

Just phony claims of heroism and service about a man who hated the people he represented.

Such an angry young man

It really is amazing to see all of the petty comments over a funeral. Not only does it reveal a deep-seeded jealousy, but it shows a galling sense of narcissism and entitlement.

And in that regard, it is truly one of the most hypocritical political displays that we've seen in recent history. The same people who preach modesty, dignity, and freedom of association (and rail against the age of entitlement), are now making fools of themselves by figuratively stomping their feet and whining about not being invited to someone else's party.

It reveals a deep seeded jealousy of those who won, those are on the side of good, those who are fighting for Americans.

These ceremonies are perhaps the most narcissistic way for a loser of a presidential election and 30 year swamp rat to go out.

Talk about a sense of entitlement. How many other POWs have received this treatment? That is arguably the only thing McCain has done in his life that was honorable.

The same people who called McCain a racist, a woman hater, a ####ty human being unfit to be president, are now making fools of themselves by praising him as if he is the greatest statesmen this country has ever known.

McCain being jealous of Trump would be equivalent  to Qb Tom Brady being jealous of Qb Ryan Leaf.
Uh, I don't think you understand how any of this works.

McCain got his ### beat down like a Cleveland Browns QB in the election.

Trump pulled off the greatest victory in election history, overcoming odds nobody has seen since the Patriots went up against the Greatest Show on Turf.

Wow, crazy is gonna crazy, I guess. Seek help... fast.

McCain tried to sink his presidency with the dossier.  Even in death he went out of his way to make it personal against Trump.  His animus and hatred were driven at least in part by his own ambitions (and failure) to become the president.  Trump doesn't owe him anything.
Most people praising McCain right now have no idea what you are talking about.

They think the dossier was legit and that Trump is a Putin puppet. Any day now Mueller will pull out the smoking gun and Trump will be impeached or shot for treason. :lmao:

Probably explains their disconnect from reality when it comes to McCain.

McCain ended his life disgracing himself. He attempted to overthrow a fairly elected president because he was a bitter jealous loser.

Even if this is true good for him trying to head off getting this dope as President. Anyone on the side against Trump and his team of scumbags is good in my book.

Exhibit A.

Trump also had a lot of help from the referees (i.e. Russians) in one of the greatest election travesty’s of all time. Thanks for playing but you may see yourself out of the door at any time.

He disgraced his state, party, and the American people?  Other than not voting to repeal OCare, what else has McCain done that's so disgraceful?

Having no idea what Ren was speaking about.

McCain actively trying to thwart a duly elected president because he was a bitter loser.

Believing in the dossier and the russia fairy tale.

You right no cue stepped up to the plate in the very next post.

His no vote on repeal and replace after campaigning on it for 6 years is alone enough for him to be forever remembered as a disgrace.

His attempt to thwart a presidency with a fabricated dossier is just icing on the cake.

You need to clarify something - that was not a repeal and replace bill. That's why McCain voted against it.

What was the replace part?

Actively trying to thwart the President is what some people call doing his job. He voted along with all his #### plenty of times.

You know Trump got peed on. It’s ok to admit it.

Eh, without even trying Bush 2000, Clinton 92, Truman 48, Wilson 1912, Harrison 1888, Hayes 1876 quickly come to mind.

I see what you guys mean about the left being full of hate.

Calling McCain a traitor to the people of America is more over the top than anything we’ve seen in the McCain services.  IMO the whole “maverick” thing is a bit overblown if you look at the whole of his record over several decades, but never once did I think the guy was a traitor, even when I disagreed with him.

Okay OCDSID. McCain voted against repealing Obamacare. Something he campaigned on for 6 years and promised the people of AZ as they were one of the hardest hit states.

When he had the opportunity to keep his promise he gave the middle finger to his constituents. And the manner in which he did it was solely to rub it in their nose.

A true disgrace.

Just saw the Megan McCain rant.

What an sad, angry woman.

I can't imagine how bitter someone has to be to make political statements during a eulogy.

It’s not that hard to imagine.  Just do what you’re doing right now only in front of a microphone with cameras on you.

It is common knowledge that McCain sent his assistant to UK to get the dossier. McCain then hand delivered the dossier to Comey.

Perhaps that news never made it to the echo chamber here.

Here is a source if you are too lazy to type 6 words into google.

Where’s the part where he disgraced himself by trying to overthrow the president because he was bitter about losing?

Jesus you people are just warped.   To discredit a hero like McCain over a POS like Trump is beyond the pale.  Can't wait until the corrupt ### hat gets voted out bigly so his supporters like this can slink back under their rocks.

Jeez

I liked McCain.  I didn't always agree with him, but I think he always tried to do what he felt was right.

Im surprised he and his daughter are using his death/funeral to take political potshots though. That’s just lowbrow.  You can’t paint a legacy as rising above petty politics and simultaneously use a funeral to fling political mud.  It’s a shame.
