Jordan Owners (1 Viewer)

Fellow LaMont owners this could be the matchup we have been waiting for. The Browns travelling to the west coast, and the Raiders off of a bye. Lump in Shell's comments recognizing the need to use Jordan out of the backfield, and maybe we have a reason to be optimistic fo LaMont.

The problem for me, and I am assuming many are in the same boat, I have made some moves and have prepared for life without LaMont. The decision now becomes, do I give him one more shot, or do I take a wait and see approach. Thoughts?

Starting him, baby.

My other choices, due to bye weeks, aren't very strong BUT I'm still feeling a good week from him. He has 2 weeks to show me something positive.

Well, maybe just 1 week.

1 more week then I have no idea what I'll do

If he doesn't put up decent numbers against Cleveland off a bye.

I'm living life with FWP and Fred Taylor.

At least I took Jordan at #10  :loco:

He'll be on my bench this week. I like the Cleveland Matchup but until that line shows me something I can't throw him out there.

Not sure yet. My other choices are Foster and Deuce (in the same game), or possibly Barber vs Tennessee.

Now or never - starting him! J Lewis has a tough matchup anyway - if Lamont doesn't have a solid game this week he may never!

Same here. I've got Caddy on a bye (not sure anymore if he is an improvement anyway) and J Lewis vs SD. I'm going with Jordan and keeping my fingers crossed that he starts to show a pulse. Willie

I am... and i got the exact same scenario as you... benching SJAX for Maroney and Jordan
This is crazy IMO. SJax is a different back at home. He loves that turf and the CLE Def isn't all that bad facing Lamont with a bad OL. I know they are coming off a bye but why even take the risk if you have Jax? CLE held Jamal/Musa in check for the most part and what has Jordan (or Oak) done for you letely to deserve starting him over SJ, who is very high in rushing yards and attempts this year....that's all you can ask for. The TD's will come.

Got him in a few leagues. Only starting him in a couple because I HAVE to. If I have someone that is doing even semi-decent, I am benching him in favor of that other RB. Until that offense can show me something, I'm going to continue to take it week to week...

I am starting him over Maroney and Foster. If he doesnt work out this week I might be done, so I would rather go down with the guy I took in the first round. Heres to Lamont and the hope that I wont be a "spoiler" before week 6. :banned:

I am starting Lamont this week and hope that Art Shell realizes that he cannot abondon the running game when they get down 3-0.

I can see this being a 90+ yards 1 rush TD and 5 catches for 50+ yards minimum.

Unless you have better options/matchups, start him.

On another note, I've seen him involved in quite a few trades recently. Def. do not trade him - his value could not get lower. He might "Barlow-out," but his value can't drop any more, so whatever you can get now, you can get later.

He had 19 attempts in week 2 so I dont think thats a problem.

Under 2 YPC is the problem. He's getting caught behind the LOS an inordinate number of times - combo of play-calling and OL woes.In the last game, he was caught for -1 yards twice when Dumbas, err, Shell ran the ball on 2nd and long - both times near midfield. It's called a downfield pass on 2nd and long, Art - look into it. Might get you into FG range. In the first game, here's a few nice play calls:
1 11:11 0 - 0 2nd-and-10 opp 49 rushed for -1 yards 1 3:48 0 - 3 1st-and-15 own 27 rushed for -4 yards 1 3:45 0 - 3 2nd-and-19 own 23 rushed for 2 yards 2 14:16 0 - 10 2nd-and-18 own 39 rushed for 4 yards 3 12:12 0 - 13 2nd-and-17 own 38 rushed for 1 yards
I think Shell is playing for the punt. 2nd and long, you might TRY to get half the yardage back, dontchathink?

Haven't decided yet. I can start 3 RBs and I have Westy, CTaylor, KJones and Jordan. He might sit one more week.
