Jordy. He's got 17.3 in a PPR, when it seems like he's done nothing.
Never fear, boys.

Nailed it. Both end up with decent games for facing the best D in the NFL.A whole quarter of GAR-BAGGGGE time coming up!
That TD tho...IJordy. He's got 17.3 in a PPR, when it seems like he's done nothing.

On pace for 144 catches at 9YPC. It will certainly be an anomalous season for Jordy.dude's getting peppered like don baylor every time he's near the endzoneIJordy. He's got 17.3 in a PPR, when it seems like he's done nothing.

Probably.Boykin getting zero targets playing in Sherman's shadow probably had a little something to do with Nelson's target total tonight.
Yeah. They put Boykin in front of Sherman for a reason. Because they wanted to go elsewhere with the ball. When did Boykin become relevant enough where he's dictating what Jordy's targets will be?
This is correct, I do not expect Jordy to average 14 targets a game and finish with 224 on the season. The beauty is, Jordy isn't supposed to be a high volume guy and can do a lot more than 80 yards with half of those targets. What we saw last night is that Jordy isn't just a one dimensional player who depends solely on YAC (at least in PPR).Boykin getting zero targets playing in Sherman's shadow probably had a little something to do with Nelson's target total tonight.
Even in standard getting 8.3 points from a WR isn't bad, exactly. It's approaching low WR2 territory which clearly isn't where we expect Nelson to be...but consider the game was @SEA...that's fineThis is correct, I do not expect Jordy to average 14 targets a game and finish with 224 on the season. Can Sherman not move around? Seems insane to have him cover whichever WR happens to line up in front of him.Yeah. They put Boykin in front of Sherman for a reason. Not to say Boykin won't have an occasional big game but I don't think he has any real affect on Jordy's targets this seasons.
They won a superbowl with this formula. As I mentioned above somewhere, he only lined up with #1 WRs 27% of the time last year but clearly it's working. I figure this helps SEA dictate the flow of a passing offense. It's much easier to defend half of the field when you're positive no one is throwing in Sherman's direction. Can Sherman not move around? Because Jordy has never been a 15 target a game player. Rodgers generally spreads the ball around, this game they didn't, they just ignored Sherman and forced it through Jordy. You could argue this is the new MO for Nelson but I would be surprised if this is typical going forward. When did Boykin become relevant enough where he's dictating what Jordy's targets will be?
Exactly. People forget that in his prime Deion often only played one side of the field as well. Defensive coordinators like knowing they can dictate gameplans by basically eliminating 1/3 to 1/2 of the field. They won a superbowl with this formula. Both these guys are must start players each week, no matter the defense. I think their fantasy numbers at the end of the year are going to be very close, unless one of them gets hurt. Both could be top 10 and I fully expect both to be top 15.Nailed it. Both end up with decent games for facing the best D in the NFL.A whole quarter of GAR-BAGGGGE time coming up!
Agree completely. Cobb was my #1 must get get 3rd round target.az_prof said:Both these guys are must start players each week, no matter the defense. Did you have to check page 2 for the thread you want?Or people that realize there is another forum for this and like this page not to be cluttered up with rate my team crap and people wanting others to make decisions for them. Please ignore the fools who complain and cry about this being a WDIS thread. Too many people who have no lives outside of the FBG forums![]()
I think the matchup sucks for the GB players tonight but I just plug and play my studs like Jordy/Cobb/ARod/Lacy. Take what you get from them and play matchups with other players like the ones you mentioned.
Surrrrrrre you did.I am glad I did start Jordy and Cobb after a lot of gut wrenching squirming....turned out ok.
And why do we know that? Now. Crabtree - you have to sit him. Because Sherman will follow him to hell if he has to - we all know that

Why was Cobb unimpressive?I thought Jordy proved himself to be a stud and Cobb looked fairly unimpressive.

Cause he doesn't own him.Why was Cobb unimpressive?I thought Jordy proved himself to be a stud and Cobb looked fairly unimpressive.
Plus he was a PI/better throw from Rodgers away from another 50 yards and a TD.Why was Cobb unimpressive?I thought Jordy proved himself to be a stud and Cobb looked fairly unimpressive.Getting 17.8 pts playing at Seattle has me tickled silly.
Or just angry that Jordy missed his TD opportunity.Cause he doesn't own him.Why was Cobb unimpressive?I thought Jordy proved himself to be a stud and Cobb looked fairly unimpressive.
I'm not an owner of either one. Cobb didn't seem to get much separation and didn't make his tough catches.Or just angry that Jordy missed his TD opportunity.Cause he doesn't own him.Why was Cobb unimpressive?I thought Jordy proved himself to be a stud and Cobb looked fairly unimpressive.
