There's lots of those out there, the key is knowing which ones to trust."Experts"
Where do they rank compared to last years crop of rookie WRs?There are a lot of good and great receivers in this class.
better at the top. I still think the book on Austin is not finished, but the seventh or eighth receiver in this class and maybe more is better than number two last year. Keenan Allen withstanding, who fell due to his knee.Where do they rank compared to last years crop of rookie WRs?There are a lot of good and great receivers in this class.
Yes, Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans are the other two.Safe to assume watkins and the kid from A & M whose name escapes me are the other two-
I'd add Jordan Mathews to the list. There are those with more flash, but I think he is a safe pick.
I can't speak to any of the other sites, but obviously FBG's sells a product...and the majority of their customer base isn't even on this message board, if I had to guess.Pretty sure FBG's makes a metric #### ton of $$$.what exactly qualifies any of these guys draft experts?
also i was wondering how do most of them get paid.
like guys at drafttv, draft countdown etc..
they bring a lot of good information to the table but was wondering how exactly are they getting an income out of this
same thing with sigmund, and the guys from football guys... it cant be that much of an income right?
Yup. And we have a history lately of taking players with our high picks who slumped their last year in school (Trent Williams, David Amerson). What's funny is that Garçon isn't a terrible comparison for Lee.Hang 10 said:Would be nice if the redskins could grab him at the top of the 2nd.
Lee had an assortment of ailments. Knee, ankle. He was beat up all year.JaxBill said:I think Lee would go first round but it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't.
Lot of talented WR in the class.
And quite frankly, he had a better year in 2012. How much of that was QB play, I don't know.
I think his rankings are poor, but his evaluations are solid. He has a difficult time converting his evaluations into clean rankings.Last year Josh Norris also had Tyler Wilson as his #1 QB prospect. He tries to hard to be a contrarian. I don't value his ranking very highly.
I think FBGs is a cash cow for the owners, a few years back either Joe Bryant or David Dodds mentioned that the site is valued at $4 million. Bloom was given an ownership interest in the site and Clayton Gray is a full time staffer who IIRC does administrative work here, so they are both probably doing fine. No current or former staff member has ever disclosed what they have been paid, probably due to terms of the employment contract, but I get the feeling that for most of the staffers the pay is not that great.ebsteelers said:what exactly qualifies any of these guys draft experts?

Josh interned with an NFL team and he shows all of his work via scouting reports. like anyone's reports, you can agree or disagree with them, but he has the background and he puts the time in. I'm pretty sure that Rotoworld (NBC/Universal) pays him a full-time rate for draft season, if not the entire season. i believe draft countdown was somewhat lucrative bc of advertising, but internet ad revenue has plummeted. FBG supports multiple full-time employees, and I am one of them.ebsteelers said:what exactly qualifies any of these guys draft experts?

Most of the FBG staffers are part-timers, so of course it is not their primary source of incomeI think FBGs is a cash cow for the owners, a few years back either Joe Bryant or David Dodds mentioned that the site is valued at $4 million. Adam Harstad had quit his day job to be a full time stay-at-home dad before he joined the staff last year and rather cryptically said a few months back that he wouldn't have quit his day job if he hadn't already quit his day job. Andrew Garda is walking dogs in his neighborhood to make ends meet, despite having two other paying writing gigs with Bleacher Report and Cheesehead TV (suggesting that the combined income from all writing sources is not that lucrative).
I am guessing that for most staffers, FBGs is a great way to supplement their income, but on its own does not approach what is considered a living wage. Just my two cents.
