Josh Wilson Seattle DB (1 Viewer)

Anyone know if he's playing a lot of downs? I saw he got 7 tackles in week3 and returns KR/PR. He's still in my WW. Wondering if I should drop Gibril Wilson for him.

He started b/c Jennings has a broken rib. Jennings played and avoided the field on obvious running downs. I would have to assume that Jennings will retain his starting job when he's fully healthy...

...but Wilson did indeed cover Mr Holt very nicely.

I'd say "NO" to that.If the Seahawks hadn't had so many injuries at WR, he might have lost the KR job after week 1. Also, I hear that Gibril Wilson guy is pretty good...

It all comes back to league settings.Josh Wilson is a top DB in my league, when you factor in KR yards. I don't expect 7 tackles is the norm though, he'll probably settle in around 3 tackles per game on average.

Kelly Jennings left the game with a concussion and Josh played the rest of the game. The Giants kept throwing the ball to his side of the field to avoid Marcus Trufant. This makes him a bad CB but a good fantasy CB. He had 37 fantasy points today including all the return yardage in my league.

Josh Wilson just became IDP gold.

Oct 8 Scott M. Johnson, of The Everett Herald, reports Seattle Seahawks CB Kelly Jennings has lost his starting job after his poor performance Week 5. He will be replaced by CB Josh Wilson.

He is the #1 DB in my return yardage league by 3 ppg. That's just sick. He's the #7 OVERALL player in PPG. He's #29 in overall total points scored, but he's already had a bye.He just got picked up this week by a guy who is already winning the league and DB was his worst position. I thought Wilson was just a flash in the pan and didn't make a play because I already am loaded at DB.I REALLY wish I'd read this thread yesterday before the waivers were processed.

Yeah, I am pretty upset about this too - I picked up Wilson last week but then dropped him because he was not a starting CB. Even worse, my opponent this week picked him up and is starting him. I drafted Ellis Hobbs too and dropped him before Week 1 thinking that he had lost his KR duties.

I am going with Y. Bell and C. Ndukwe, pretty decent, but those return DBs who start are really valuable.

Will he continue on KRPR? I heard that he's being replaced... not sure where I remember hearing that.
Seattle re-picked up Forsett.. he might take the Kick-offs from Wilson
I would have to believe that Seattle did this in order to avoid injury for their starting CB. I am sitting Wilson this week to see how Forsett is used in return duties. Although under the radar, this move could really hurt Wilson's value in leagues which award return yards.

Anybody got any definitive news on whether Wilson lost his return duties? I know the writing may be on the wall, but looking for confirmation.

I think bringing back Forsett and activating him means he will handle the return duties now, IMO. I dropped Wilson in favor of McFadden.

I'd think you should wait a week before you drop him. You don't want another person stealing him off the waivers if he is still doing kickoffs.

Splitting duties in the SNF game. Both looked good - Wilson has grown on me as a returner. Engram was returning punts for a bit.Wilson didn't make me happy as a Seahwks fan with his play as a DB, but Jennings wasn't either.

He got most of the kickoff returns. Seattle is letting people score at will and can't stay on the field with their offense. This means big things for Wilson.

WTH?!?!

This guy just put up 56.7 points in my league this week. 10 tackles, a FF, an INT with 58 INT return yards (our league gives points for these) and to top it all off, 141 kick return yards.

His legs are going to fall off at this rate. That is the highest score of any player in our league this year. And to think I passed up on picking him up off of the wire. I think I'm going to be sick. :)

Combination of factors listed above have made Wilson an every week starter in many leagues, especially in the Zealots league scoring.

I'm so mad... I cut this guy as soon as they signed Faucett.... he's now the #1 DB in my league.

He's the #1 OVERALL in my league right now. He's averaging 27.4 pts/week right now. To put that in perspective, Brady averaged 32.6 last season and LT averaged 33.0 in 2006....and no offensive players are close to having that kind of season right now. (well, Reggie was until the injury)If he keeps this up, he's a lock to finish top 5. No DB finished in the top 25 in either of the last two seasons.

He went down in practice today according to this link:

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/2..._wilson_injured

"Josh Wilson appeared to hurt his right ankle during 7-on-7 passing drills while defending a long pass against Michael Bumpus, who was playing Santana Moss on scout team. Wilson was on the ground for awhile, and eventually limped back to the training room to get checked out.

Even defensive coordinator John Marshall went to check on Wilson after he was moved off the field.

No word on the extent of the injury at this time."

I'm still luvin me some Josh Wilson. #1 DB in my league
His owner in my returner league is in the Semifinals thanks to a 1 point win when Wilson scored 30 pts. Easily the waiver pickup of the year in our league. He's the #1 overall scorer by 21 points. :wall:

FYI, Wilson missed practice today because of a concussion. It sounds like he will still play but something to keep an eye on.

He's turned out very nicely for you guys who have him in returner leagues. In my IDP league without return yards, he's a DB2 - which is still very nice.
