Justin Blackmon Suspended Indefinitely (1 Viewer)

the blurb in the first post clearly states NFL spokesperson saying he will be eligible for reinstatement at beginning of 2014 season (doesn't mean he will, but eligible).

huh. i thought next strike was a year... maybe he was in a different stage than von miller (who reportedly is gone for a year if he has another violation)...

i thought after a 4 game suspension its 8 games then season?

could be wrong though.

tonight we drinking from the bottle
After the four game suspension comes the one year suspension and the lifetime enrollment in the frequently tested club I do believe. That seems to be contrary to what some have said they read in the blurb so I am guessing if it is less than a year there is a particular exception in his case due to some technicality of some rule.§

who was the last player to be suspended indefinitely like this?
I believe Tanard Jackson is suspended indefinitely now and has already missed more than a year without being reinstated.

done for the year? any chance of appeal - or is he droppable?
He will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the start of the 2014 season.

But there was controversy there too regarding if missing a test should count as a full strike.

There were rumors/reports that at least one of Blackmon's strikes were for missing a test.

are we saying that he doesn't get to appeal? Seems like in other cases the player is able to appeal and can keep playing until the appeals process has concluded...

Just sent a trade offer to every team in my league... Hopefully someone accepts before Rotoworld puts the comments next to his name :)

what in the effffffffffffff

Gordon and Blackmon were both my WR3

I had to decide which WR to trade in order to get a RB... I traded Gordon yesterday

Now I only have Garcon and Antonio Brown

wtfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

The GM in Jacksonville---Who is he? When did he start? If within the past 3 seasons, why is he still employed?
Dave Caldwell, respected personnel guy from Atlanta. He started in the last year. He's still employed because he inherited a flaming bag of poop.

This degenerate figures he's on a bye week so he can get nuts. Hope he's happy he's screwing my fantasy team.

Justin Blackmon of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.STATEMENT BY AN NFL SPOKESPERSON:

Justin Blackmon of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Blackmon’s suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the start of the 2014 season.

[Note: The NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse is posted on nflmedia.com. From the home page, click on "Resources" and then "About the NFL."]

STATEMENT BY JAGUARS GENERAL MANAGER DAVID CALDWELL:

“All of us who are a part of the Jaguars family care very deeply about Justin and his well-being. That said, he must be held accountable and accept the consequences announced today by the NFL. His suspension will provide him the opportunity to receive the attention and professional treatment necessary to overcome his challenges, and we will support him during this time. The Jacksonville Jaguars will evaluate Justin's status once he has successfully met the criteria to be considered for reinstatement to the league.”
The black background is very appropriate.
