Justin Fargas' Dynasty Oulook (1 Viewer)

Didn't see a thread dedicated to Fargas, but he has quitely put up some decent numbers (three 100 yard games, and he is solid every time he gets 20+ carries). I remember Fargas got a lot hype during the pre season of his rookie year, but then he got injured and was forgotten ever since...

Fargas seems to be the coach's favorite this year and the coach was quoted saying Fargas has earned his starting role this year. Assuming Fargas stays health, is Fargas a sell-high or a hold for dynasty leagues?

As much as I like Fargas I think you gotta sell based on his past. He was injured all through college and early in his NFL career. I don't see him lasting long if he is taking the full load.

The main problem with Fargas at this point is Michael Bush.
A lot of people would say that isn't a problem...Fargas has looked good as of late. He seems to have bulked up a little and improved his game. I do think Bush may cut into his production next year, especially at the goal line, but I would say Fargas has more upside than Bush.

I'm not saying that Bush will get the main load or cut into his production nor that Fargas hasn't looked good. He certainly has. But no one has seen Bush yet and the way they set it up this year was grooming him for next year. He's enough of an unknown to make Fargas's longterm value questionable. He could come in and be the starter or he could be part of RBBC or he could be nothing but a backup. If I owned Fargas (which I do in one league), I'd just hang onto him as you probably can't get good value. I would only look to acquire Fargas if it were relatively cheap, which is unlikely given his current production.

Literally, he could be just like Chester Taylor was from last year to this year. Taylor was a solid producer and then gave way this year to AP until AP got hurt. Fargas could lose all value or keep top 10-15 value. The whole reason for this problem is Michael Bush. There isn't a single person that can say for certainty this is his job next year.
