Kaepernick - One of the Worst QB Performances I've Ever Seen (1 Viewer)

When people see Kaepernick dress and act the way he does, they see a lack of commitment, sacrifice, dedication, and drive to work himself into rising up the QB ladder. They see this as contrary to the way the elite QBs act and behave, which has allowed them to reach elite level.
When I joke about hats and suits, the point is i have no idea what time he arrives at the facility in the morning or what time he leaves at night. More importantly, I have no idea what he does or doesn't do while he is there.

Like RG3, when you have a guy like this who has spent periods of time in that euphoric "zone" of awesomeness and now looks like hot garbage, you have to try and reconcile this somehow. Maybe he's just not getting better? Maybe he's not coachable (can't or won't do what he's being asked to do)? Maybe the rest of the league does have a book on him that exploits these issues? Hard to believe he simply can't throw or run all of a sudden...

Guy has a massive ego and doesn't want to practice fundamentals because practice is beneath him. Thinks he's the best there ever was and all his mistakes are other people's fault.
If this is true ... this would be the kind of common-sense thing that would kill a career more than "they've got the book on him now!".

The early acclaim, Beats commercial, Jaworski's pronouncement, etc. certainly couldn't have helped.
The straight brimmed cap, the Beats headphones around his neck all the time, the hoodies he wears instead of trying to look like a professional.....all signs that he's more worried about having street cred than being a professional, successful NFL quarterback. Would love to see a Warren Moon or someone mentor him. He has the talent, and from what I understand, he's very intelligent. Just doesn't seem to have his priorities straight. Almost like he doesn't take it seriously enough.
Wasn't Kurt Warner working with him in the offseason, or was that a different QB that Warner was working with?
He must have worked with Giants-era Kurt Warner.

"[it's] very hard for me to deal with," Kaepernick said after the game. "Very hard to see myself go out and play like that and hurt this team the way I did. I nullified all the efforts of every other player on that field today."

That's a very mature response by Kaepernick. Gotta give him credit for that.

Kaepernick has a similar game week 2 of 2013 against the Seahawks (13/28 for 127, 0 TD, 3 INT).

The rest of the season he threw 18 TD's to 5 INT's and got the 49ers to the conference championship.

Kaepernick is regularly one of the first to arrive and last to leave the stadium. He may not be good but it's not from a lack of effort or what he wears. Guy puts in a ton of hours when they're at the home stadium.

If he really wants to help the team he would ask for his release.

He should probably quit then because all the extra effort is producing zero.

A performance befitting the QB that Kaepernick is, or more accurately, is not. Making an NFL QB out of a great athlete with a cannon for an arm is a hell of lot easier dreamed than done...but that doesn't seem to stop HCs and GMs from continuing to try and fail over and over and over again.
Perfectly stated.

Just saw the replay of his 2 pick 6's.... :lmao: Man are those terrible throws, decisions... Just whatever. Terrible.

Everyone is "first to arrive, last to leave" nowadays. Never seem to report who's always late, sure, but how can a team have 10 or 20 guys who are always "first to arrive"? I think the door must be really, really, really wide and they all coordinate to walk through together.
:lmao: That's very true. We hear this so much in sports. Not sure how one person can consistently be the guy who gets there first, never gets stuck in traffic, etc. Maybe he just takes a really really long time to change before leaving? Or they car pool?

I don't understand how a guy can regress as badly as Kaepernick has if he's putting so much time in.

He's only first to arrive at the facility. What they don't mention is that he's only there to meet his tattoo guy for more dumb ink.
Doesn't matter who's the first arrive, it's what that person does with that time. I know the first guy who arrives at my workplace, doesn't get anything done because there's no one there to watch him or supervise him.

Once a thug, always a thug.
All of the dogs in my neighborhood started barking for some reason. Also, citation needed. He spent the summer practicing with Warner, which is at least trying to do something, even if it did not work.

From what I hear, that was like a random weekend over the summer. Not saying you can't get a lot done in that time.

But I doubt you could turn a bad QB into even a mediocre QB in that frame.

I don't know what he's doing while he's at the stadium, but it sure as hell ain't the same thing Aaron Rodgers is doing.

Just finished watching the game and I cannot believe what I saw - Kaepernick looked like a high school QB out there today. He was totally lost and didn't have the basics of setting his feet to throw.

It wasn't just the 4 INT's, it was how he did it - before the meaningless final drive he was 5/11 for 35 yards with 4 INT's. That means until the last drive he completed almost as many passes (5) to his own team as he did to the opposing team (4).

He ended with a 16.7 QB rating, but it was even lower before the final drive.

Here are the type of QB's his day compared to.

:X :
That is until Peyton 5/20 for 35 yards with 4 INT's performance.

On a day he breaks a substantial individual record for a QB no less.

A QB rating of zero.

Peyton Blutarski - 0.0 :lmao:

I remember watching Andy Dalton's 10-for-33, 3 INT masterpiece against the Browns last year and thinking, "I may never see a performance this bad from an entrenched starting NFL QB again."

Little did I know that in the next twelve months alone, I'd be witness to two that were worse.
