The northest quadrant of the storm does the most damage. So worst case would be for it to hit just west of NO. That's where its headed now,Actually worst case would be for it graze along the coast getting NO and the coast all the way past Houston, but that seems extremely unlikely

No, but I can tell when a dot is moving to the left. Also I am on the back porch watching the tv thru the window. THere is a vertical support blocking the middle of the screen. I noticed the eye moving behind the support (to the left or west).So you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Strange coming together of :twilightzonemusic: here. lol We watched "Cat People" Friday night, which is set in NO and the zoo.Been like that all weekend. Applied for my passport for Ireland on Friday, and "Far and Away" was on last night too.

Considering Louisiana routinely imprisons people for simple marijuana possession, I can't think of an excuse for wishing that the entire prson population be forced to drown like rats. OK, I'll bite.....If the inmates are facing certain death, I would cut loose the ones in there for non-violent crimes. The others....well you already painted the gruesome picture. I'd prefer some sort of transfer but I imagine it's much too late for that. I was watching a hlf screen doppler image and saw the eye nudging to the west (moving left across the screen). It was a live image on Larry King about half an hour or more ago. The fact I was sitting still and saw the eye moving left was confirmed by an object partially blocking the screen.Seriuosly, is a meteorologist need to see whether a spot is moving up, down, left, or right? I am in Birmingham, but have literally 100+ relatives in and around NO (big family). My closest ones are either here or west of the city. I'm gonna get it, but not anything to worry about. At this point I know where all my loved ones are.Praying for my favorite place in the world. I hope everyone else is too. I honestly can't think of a time or place in the US as desperate as this - this is truly a city in a time of its most desperate need.
I just hope the relative cold in the wee hours of the morning weaken this beast.
