*** KC @ NYG Game Thread *** (1 Viewer)

The Giants and their reffing staff are really pretty good.
Great challenge.Better get it right - he was down.

And guess what - tackling goes down when you make bad personal foul calls. They second guess on D.
Agreed,If Another chief had come in and leveled him, they would have thown the flag for a lete hit saying he was down.

Neither of those personal fouls penalties should have been called.

The NFL will apologize to the Chiefs this week for getting that call wrong. If any part of your body other than your hand or your foot touches the ground -- you are down.

Clearly, the top part of his foot/ankle/shin area touched the ground.
That was not at all clear to me. It was very close, to be sure, but I can't say with confidence that it did or did not touch.

If thats the rule then im wrong a shin did hit.

Horrible officiating this game. KC has gotten jobbed about 4 times now.

And I'm a Giants fan!!
Are you tryin got say the knee hit.
No, I am saying that his lower leg clearly was on the ground.Too bad for KC. This is OUR HOUSE BABY!

but there's no way that call should have been reversed. inconclusive. just cuz you can't see daylight between his shin and the ground does not mean it touched.

Worst call I've seen in a while and at the worst time. I'm glad I'm not a Chiefs fan.
The replayed showed that the shin might not have hit at all. The replays didn't prove 100% that the shin hit, so it can't be overturned. It looked like there was a space when FOX paused it.

What did Plaxico do? Pull a Moulds? Does Eli hate him or does he just suck and can't get open like he did earlier in the year? Not watching the game. How come only one catch?

???? They freeze framed it right on the ground. Thank God the refs are on the Gints payroll today. We needed it. :D

Eli can't hit the side of a barn. He's been open.

Ref should say inconclusive..... IMO.

The Chiefs are getting rapped by the officiating. The few times they have actually wrapped up on tackles, they get flags thrown on them.

I agree that the knee never hit, but anyone, even a Giants fan who thinks that the Ref saw taht tiny space from 20 yds away is a liar. What sucks and has been sucking this entire game is the benefit of the doubt being given the Giants. The personal foul calls have been generous to say the best and downright collusive to say the least. Parker gets hist late and jumps up to look the fdefender up and down and gets 15 yds for unsportsmanlike conduct. Barber gets his right at the whistle (according the replay with sound) and KC gets 15 personal foul. Its tough to beat 22 Giants, and damn near impossible to beat 30.

wow chiefs are doing horrible at short yardage situations.also when do they allow the play, when it's a false start penalty?

well, i'm a giants fan. when i watched it live on TV (even better view than the refs) I had no idea he even came close to being down.

also when do they allow the play, when it's a false start penalty?
False starts on the Offense are prior to the snap - dead ball - must take the penalty (unless declined). The "free play" for the O comes when the D jumps at the snap, but not too much - then it is "unabated to the QB" and blown dead.

 I guess you failed to see the shadow of the shin, and you failed to hear when the announcers pointed out the tiny space.

I'm not a Giants' fan, if anything I'm a Chiefs fan.

it was a rhetorical question... i just can't believe they would allow the play to go on, when they called a false start.also, nfl.com called must be a giants fan, it was of course changed

3-6-KC 35 (11:30) T.Green pass to T.Gonzalez to NYG 40 for 25 yards (G.Wilson, J.Butler). PENALTY on KC, Illegal Formation, 5 yards, enforced at KC 35 - No Play.

How happy am I- I am in the semi finals and have both Tiki and LJ. They are both having a monster game!!!!! gotta luv the playoffs!!!!

So do I. NE DEF too. Imagine if everyone who did made a thread about it. No one cares :IBTL:

LJ owner missed our playoffs  :pickle:
the rest of his team must have been absolutely pathetic.
He was just in the wrong division... I'm playing a guy the went 7-7 the guy with LJ was 9-5 but in the division with the best team. 4 teams make it. 3 division leaders and a wildcard

Wrong Week to go up against Tiki...man he looks like he is covered in butter the way defenders are just sliding off him.Could you please let Shockey get something? :D

But the replay DID show that the top of the foot and ankle CLEARLY was laying on the ground = same thing.

:goodposting: From that first unsportsmanlike conduct (for taunting) penalty on Parker, it's been obvious that the ref's in general, and the Head Linesman in particular, have been bending over backward for the Giants. The NFL must REALLY want the Giants in the playoffs!! At least 5 calls (phantom calls and calls that are never made in other games) have been called for the Giants.

Of course, I can't really blame the NFL. Lots more viewers in NY than KC.
