He didn't do much last week which intrigues me even more. I'll check the SOS for DBs, maybe DEN gives up a lot of fantasy points to DBs.Edit: So much for that theory, according to SOS they have one of the worst matchups for fantasy points this week. What gives?
I'm going back and forth with him to. My other option is Lawyer Milloy and considering the SS vs. TE gets to deal w/ Gates, it's a favorable macthup. Rhodes had 7 solos vs. SD a few weeks back.I think the fact that Denver runs so much and the Jets are giving up yards, that as the "last line of defense" on the road, he's ranked high. But still, #2???
Favre is throwing INT's at an alarming rate, so Sharper is a better start IMO. Plus, I thought Kiel was banged up? He may not be on the injury list, but he's getting over some sort on injury I think. Also, Rhodes has had some monster matchups this year and really hasn't produced because he was being subbed for in many situations. I don't know that much has changed and he'll be in there in those same situations.
Sorry, forgot to answer the original question: Williams vs. Rhodes...I would take Williams - he should be good for a sack and an INT this week (Joey's starting - always a good thing for opposing defenses).Word of warning: Detroit's defense is in sad shape - Kenoy is out and so are many LB's, so Dallas could own the T.O.P, thus limiting Williams' time on the field. But his big play potential makes him a better start than Rhodes.
The Jets defense was solid against the run last week.... even though Carolina ran 34 times, they stuffed them at the line a lot, with the linemen and LB's racking up the tackles. Delhomme didn't throw that much, something like for 215 yards. I figure the Denver backs to get into the secondary a lot his Sunday, so his numbers should see a nice increase. I didn't know K Kennedy was out.... gotta go make some changes with that news.
