Kevin Jones good to go (1 Viewer)

I realize it's week 13 and alot of teams including some of mine need to win to advance, but so many things can go wron with playing KJ this week:

1) He could give it a go and realize it's not 100%.

2) The Lions could fall out of the game early and not want to risk further injury to their best player in a meaningless game

3) NE has been giving up almost nothing on the ground lately. The Bears ran pretty well, but they have a better OL and Det hasn't been running well of late.

4) NE has given up 2 combined TD's to 3 NFC foes. Det. has arguably the worst offense in the division. They can't be expected to score more than 1 TD and it will probably be in garbage time.

I hope I'm wrong since I would love to play KJ this week, but it just doesn't look good. There's just no guarantee he gets considerable touches and there's very little chance he gets a TD.

Hopefully someone can disagree and have some solid reasons to back it up.

I wish I could disagree. Got him in two leagues and not looking forward to starting him. But can I really bench my second round pick? He got me to where I am now in the standings.

I think Jones will stay involved in the game even if gets away from them as he is a big part of their passing game as well.

Seau is also out now, which may change NE defensive capabilities a little.

True, but I sat him the week after the concussion against the Vikings and he blew up against the Bills.NE is a tougher matchup, but it's hard to bench a guy like KJ. As mentioned already, he's heavily involved in the passing game so the score shouldn't affect his production too much.

:goodposting: That's it, to the tee. I am putting in Caddy for the guaranteed yards. Not happy about it, but it is a very important week 13.Here's to good Weeks 14, 15 and 16 for KJ :banned:

KJ said he could have played on Thanksgiving which is 4 days after his injury and a whopping 10 days before this weeks game. He is not waiting until late in the week to practice like a player whose status is in doubt but began practicing on Monday, a full 6 days before his game. Again, if he was still hurting he'd could have waited to resume practice. And now he's no longer on the injury report yet you are all seem so unsure about him. I don't know what I'm missing but I'm not concerned and glad as hell he's back.

I did not read this anywhere and we've got some sleuths patrolling the innernet. Please provide a source.NE is a tough matchup, plain and simple. I'm not sure it's more complicated than that. He's not a terrible start but it's not like he's playing the Rams or Colts or something.

I agree that NE is a tough match up and KJ is not a necessarily a great play this week due to some of the aforementioned issues. I would like to point out that in PPR leagues, he should likely put up decent numbers even if DET can't get the running game going strong.
