Just heard on Sirius NFLRadio that Keyshawn was cut.. Guess that makes way for TO

I think Dallas is going to make a play in the TO sweepstakes. If they dont or lose, Keyshawn will resign in Dallas unless someone else gives him a very lucrative offer IMO. I think the cut is more about TO than Keyshawn.

If Moulds is also released, the WR pool sure did get better in a hurry.

Dallas did him a real favor here. I agree, he's heading to a contender. Would be a real nice fit with either Carolina or Seattle as a red zone target and offer #2 WR spots.

Did Key play for Herm at all in NY?
No. He was traded away right before Al Groh took over.
But he was alongside Bill Belichick for three years...
True, but has BB ever shown the blind loyalty to his players Parcells has?Keyshawn is going to make some team a lot better. Whether that's KC, Carolina, Seattle, or most any team he would sign with, they move to (stay at) the top of their division.

Just a thought, but Miami makes some sense too.

I think Keyshawn will have plenty of interest, and at this point in his career will probably sign to a "contender."
From an on-field standpoint, I don't think there's a better fit for Keyshawn than Pittsburgh. To wit :1) Great run blocker. With he and Ward, they would have the bext blocking WR tandem in NFL history, most likely.

2) Big target. The Steelers lack this among their WRs - only Walter Young, a taxi squad guy, is over 6' 1"

3) Keyshawn would likely want to sign with a "contender", as Jason said. Defending champs would certainly qualify.

4) Roethlisberger LOVES to target big receivers, always has (Nance, Burress, Miller)

5) With the Steelers running game and the presence of an All-Pro like Ward, he would likely see tons of single coverage

6) In Cowher, they have a coach who commands respect, but is a players' coach. Keyshawn would likely love playing for him.

However, his salary demands, the fact that he probably wouldn't get the ball as much as he'd like, the cold weather, and the perception of him as a potential "troublemaker" will likely preclude any chance of this happening.
