Kolb owners (1 Viewer)

FWIW, Vick took two incredibly nasty shots the last two weeks when he's run the ball.

It depends on how high you value the Eagles offense. If so, stash him.

Personally, I'd cut Kolb and add Freeman.

You have to now treat Kolb the same was as you would any other QB2 in your league. What I mean is that if you're in a league that is shallow enough that QB2s are rarely rostered, then you need to seriously consider releasing him. If you're in a deep enough league that the top handful of backups are rostered as "Just in case" guys, or as handcuffs, then you stash him and hope he gets another shot.

i dropped him at halftime of the first game for orton lol... he did not look remotely rosterable in game 1. if youve waited til now youre probably in massive trouble but theres little to no reason to keep him. even if he plays hes not looking good from a ppg perspective.

I'm keeping him on the bench. I don't like to roster 3 QBs, but there is always a chance Reid goes back to Kolb later this season.

One thing with Kolb is that even if he does manage to get the starting job back(and Vick is still healthy), I think that Vick will see enough snaps as a change of pace QB to really prevent Kolb from being startable in most fantasy leagues.

I like the potential of the Eagles offense, but I cut Kolb ($15 salary in $200 cap league) because #1 Vick might not give the job back in 2010 and, Kolb will be frozen for this week, so if Vick throws up a stinker against Jax, I can always bid less than $15 to get him back. Orton has been my starter both weeks in 2010 (Didn't trust Stafford of Kolb out of the gate in week 1 - thank god as that would have been an easy loss!!).

He's currently my #3 in a start 2 league. Unless you NEED a starter right now I think you should hold onto the kid. If Vick puts up a clunker or two in the next month we could see another switch. It's not like this situation isn't a pretty one.

Freeman and others don't have the upside of an Eagles qb.

Kolb was my #2 QB (Eli #1)... dropped Kolb the monday after his suck performance week 1 for Orton. If I still had him I'd be ditching him for Freeman. You'll have plenty of chances to get him back later this season if he shows any chances of returning to #1 QB.. but I agree with another poster--Vick isn't giving the job back...

Vick/Kolb are my backups. I should prolly cut Kolb but it is a dynasty league and he had great dynasty rankings before the season.

Even if he gets the job back, they aren't going to have Vick hold a clipboard the whole game. Almost no fantasy value anymore. You will probably be able to grab a "surprise" qb (Orton, A. smith, Freeman, etc.) off the waiver that will give you similar, if not better production. And that's a best cast scenario.

cut him. Good thing i took Palmer early as one of the top 12 QB's off the board.

Started Vick last week and will probably roll him out there again on sunday.

Yep, I'm cutting him my league is not deep enough to roster more than 2 QBs so my second one needs to at least start on his own team. Very disappointing as I had high hopes for Kolb entering the season.

I could never play in a league that keeps an open waiver wire like that--rarely have time to watch the games and would be forever behind the curve. :(

I have a theory on all of this. On Saturday Reid said that Kolb was the man. This was the same as Reid saying "regardless of how well Vick plays in this game, Kolb will start in week 3". All of us knew that Vick would do well against the Lions, and he did. Now, Reid does a 180 and names Vick the starter. Why?

I think that Reid is a pretty smart guy. He does not want to "tie his horse" to Kolb (as the other thread mentioned). If Kolb does not have his head on straight from that concussion yet, why would he want to put himself and Kolb in a corner. He has created a win/win for himself.

1. If Vick keeps winning, they make the playoffs and everyone wins.

2. If Vick loses one of the next two games, he sticks his guy Kolb back in as a coaching decision from poor play.

Either way, this gives Kolb more time to heal and get his head straight. Also, Reid does not look like a stubborn mule.

I have both and I am tempted to dump Kolb. However, I come back to this gut feeling that there is going to be some off-the-field issue with Vick in the near future. I am going to hold for now.

Kolb looked lousy in preseason and in half a real game. He looked amazing for what, 3 real games? I don't know why it's assumed he would look like crap.
