Kubiak says RBBC for week 1 (1 Viewer)

Every team "rotates" 2 or 3 RBs through a game. Rarely does a starting RB get 70%+ of the team's carries. I see Kubiak as wanting to figure out a rhythm where he utilizes each guy's strengths the best.
Denver & Atl are two of the more extreme cases of RBBC last year, yet the primary ball carrier still put up very good fantasy numbers. The difference is those teams' rb tandems have specific roles and are very different runners. In Houston, I don't see this clear separation where one player's style/build is very different from the other. What I do see happening is one player eventually distinguishing himself as the primary back, and the other will be used to spell him (maybe a little more than a usual split). The distinguishing factor will most likely be blocking/pass protection as both appear to be capable runners. The RBBC talk by Kubiac imo, is more due to the lack of a decision on who the primary ball carrier is. If DD can't get back to form, one of either Morency or Lundy could be a decent RB2 this year. That would be a steal at their current ADPs.

Either way, Davis doesn't hold much value. At the most, he'll get 1200 yards and a few scores, fine numbers for a #2 or 3, but he won't have his breakout season until they get an offensive line.
Davis put up mad points in PPR in 2004. He finished 3rd overall in ANT's HP scoring (which is my home) So I am trying to figure out what your post meant?
In 04, he racked up 1188 yds and 13 TDs, so he was a good #2 back like I said, but the top backs usually gain 1600+ yds and 20+ TDs.
 DD had 1776 yards and 14 TDs in 2004. He was around the 5th to 6th best RB overall in non-PPR leagues, and according to airraid, #3 in PPR.

That's a lot better than a good #2 RB. Unless you're in a 2 to 4 team league anyway.
That is a pretty staggering statistic. I think DD is a good, solid RB, but those are wild numbers. I can't shake myself of the notion that Houston is basically Denver-lite, where you put a solid player in the backfield and wind up with great production.
those numbers Greg R posted have nothing to do with Kubiak though

A guy took Dom in my league in the 5th. I asked him how dom's leg was doing after the draft. I didn't have room for both Lundy and Morency but took a shot and drafted Morency late (14th rnd of 16) as my 6th rb. Although, after last night's game it looks as if Wali is instead going to get the nod at starting and consequently more carries. Soooo, I just now made a waiver move trading Morecy for Wali. I hope that was the right thing. BTW, How is dd's leg?...really?

How are Lundy's hands? Any chance he's on the field for 3rd downs? (I'm in a PPR league)
