Kyle Orton vs Detroit (1 Viewer)

Fiddles

detroits given up 6 tds and no interceptions

anyone like this guy this week?

dodds and bloom have him pretty low

I am strongly considering him this week. My only fear with him is that the Bears will defensively shut the Lions down so much that they have absolutely no need to throw this week and Orton puts up a game managing 150/0/0 kind of week.

Starting him as my #2 QB in a start 2 QBs league. Leaving Garrard and Flacco on the bench.

i think this is a good play this weekend. The bears will run the ball alot with success. With that being said 200-2 is a good over under for Orton. Although i do feel detroit will be able to move the ball through the air against the bears, the main question is how much clock chicago will control with the run game.

Don't forget, the Bears aren't very good against the pass. Detroit could easily keep up, making this somewhat of a shootout.

Lions smoked them last year

Orton sucks. I have a feeling he is going to struggle and the Lions may get a win this week. I think he throws for less than 220/2 this week with a couple picks.

The other caveat to consider is the health of the Bears WR's and CB's.

If Vasher and Tillman are out, then ROY and Calvin could make it a shootout.

Brandon Lloyd and Marty Booker got hurt last game.

Detroit is coming off a bye week, with 2 weeks to prepare for the Bears.

The Lions put over 30+ in the 4th quarter against the Bears last year.

Orton did look good (in the first half) vs the Eagles.

Lions fan?Orton has started a total of 22 games... 15 of them came as a rookie, and they won 10 of those 15 as far as I recall. He's won 2 of his 4 this year, and won 2 of his 3 last year. That gives him 14 wins in 22 games (.636) - which is not bad, considering he's on the Bears. If you look at his carrer, he's improved every year he's played. While he's not "elite" by any stretch of the imagination, he also doesn't "suck."

with Palmer on the shelf again I am looking at starting Orton over such great options as Kitna and K Collins....

Not only starting Orton in a league where I had Rodgers and Favre, but am playing Devin Hester in another league where I have Cotchery on a bye.
