Lambeau leap - excessive celebration (1 Viewer)

Saw highlights of Chiefs game. Bowe jumped into stands followed by at least 2 more players. Now that's excessive. What would be great is one of those flash mobs. 5000 fans jump out of stands and then jump back.

I think we should be arguing about why the NFL throws flags for celebrations instead of trying to get more flags thrown.
I think the argument is there should be consistency with the rules.
So let's consistently not flag other teams for whatever they are getting flags for and leave the Lambeau leap alone. Consistency works both ways.

I've thought of this also. Probably grandfathered in and it is "Lambeau Field".
It started with Favre, and no one in the NFL is going to question the King
FAILIt started with Leroy Butler who took a lateral from Reggie White. Great Game against the Raiders. LOOK AT ME!!I was there.

This was my point, although not stated in my OP. It is inconsistent to not throw a flag on that. I don't mind the Lambeau leap at all. I would MUCH rather let the players have their celebrations. I loved Keith Byars' snow angel in the snow in Dallas on Thanksgiving years ago. I think Ochocinco's celebrations are great. Why not let the players have their fun, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody or make the other team angry?

Ochocinco's famous Leap pissed off at least one Packer fan:

Maybe if you read the rules you would get it.
