Is it? Think about what's happened in MLB if you follow it, take for example someone like Jose Bautista, 7 years in the bigs never hit more than 16 HR's in a single season until this year, when he hits 54, a year overwhelmingly dominated by pitchers, so of course everyone (whether it's fair/true or not) begins to wonder, is this guy juicing? LaRon who posted 90 total tackles in 15 games last year already has 63 this year in just 6 games, if he keeps up this pace he'll end the year with 168 total tackles. Now I know some of this has to do with playing time and defensive scheme, and don't get me wrong I love this guy he's getting me some huge points right now, with as prevalent as steroids are I don't think it's a ridiculous question to ask.If someone plays in the NFL it's not ridiculous to think they might be using some kind of steroid or performance enhancer. That said, if your entire premise is "He's really, really, really good. Steroids?" it's a pretty silly one.
No, I have not been looking at pictures of 3 year old children..... you should probably stop.obviously u haven't heard his story or seen his picks of him growing up. if he was roiding he started at age 3 and didn't stop. the story of him some how acquiring a fake ID to play in a peewee league of 7-8yr olds when he was 5(which he dominated) is priceless.
I guess Timmons is juicing too since he had 78 tackles in 15 games last year and already has 59 in 5 games..Now it's possible any player could be juicing, but if you know anything about Landry he has always been huge, quick, and a hard hitter. It was pretty obvious that the change from FS to SS was going to be huge for Landry, allowing him to play his natural position. His strength has always been his tackling ability, not coverage skills. When he was at LSU he led his team in tackles all three years he was there...simply put the guy has a LB mentality with the speed of a CB and is always around the action making plays..combine this with a Redskins defense that is allowing tons of yards and has trouble getting off the field and generous home scorekeeper for assists = you're in for a monster IDP year..WOW6616 said:Is it? None of it has to do with PT (he's always been on the field 95+% of the time), and all of it has to do with scheme. He's not being used this year anywhere close to how he was used the past few years (since Sean Taylor's death). Ever since Taylor died, Landry has been tasked to be a FS, simply because he became the most athletic safety on the roster. He played deep centerfield, basically being asked to give the team what Taylor gave the team. Deep coverage is not Landry's strong point, in the least, and that has kept him away from a lot of tackles the past few years. This year he's being played extensively as an in-the-box SS. He generally stays close to the line and is like another LB in run support.I certainly can't prove he isn't on steroids, and if one is hell-bent on seeing 'roids anytime a players numbers improves, I'm sure nothing I say could assuage the prejudice. But there is a very reasonable, very legitimate reason for the change in his numbers this season.WOW6616 said:LaRon who posted 90 total tackles in 15 games last year already has 63 this year in just 6 games, if he keeps up this pace he'll end the year with 168 total tackles. Still pisses me off that we couldn't see Taylor and Landry playing together in their respective primes. That would have been an utterly terrifying prospect for any receiving going over the middle.None of it has to do with PT (he's always been on the field 95+% of the time), and all of it has to do with scheme. Or people look at Bautista's lack of playing time in previous seasons and realize he's actually shown quite a bit of pop to his bat anytime he's played. IIRC he ended last season on an absolute tear...it just carried over this year. Just saying someone is juicing because they're suddenly good is a bit of a reach. Scheme, maturity, understanding the game better...there are a lot of reasons. Is it? My favorite was when Joe Buck said in a 2005 Redskins-Cowboys game, "Glenn reaches for it, briefly," as Terry Glenn stopped his route and even ducked his head as Taylor approached.the term 'alligator arms' would be mentioned 30x's a gameStill pisses me off that we couldn't see Taylor and Landry playing together in their respective primes. Exactly what I was thinking.Landry never would have played on the same team because he was drafted to replace Sean Taylor.
They played together in 2007unless you think that Wash was going to get rid of Taylor after the '07 seasonExactly what I was thinking.Landry never would have played on the same team because he was drafted to replace Sean Taylor.

I saw it too on nfl channel, any opinions from the experts between R. Doughty or K. Moore as who gets the biggest bump this week?Out this week.
I'm no "expert", but if I had to choose between the two for this week it'd be Doughty. I'll take the man in the box over the centerfielder against Tennessee.I saw it too on nfl channel, any opinions from the experts between R. Doughty or K. Agreed, just not sure that would be their roles with landry out, though Its what I'd guess too.I'm no "expert", but if I had to choose between the two for this week it'd be Doughty. Doughty is definitely the biggest bump. He'll take the SS position and has done well there in the past.Agreed, just not sure that would be their roles with landry out, though Its what I'd guess too.I'm no "expert", but if I had to choose between the two for this week it'd be Doughty. What does the Achilles injury look like from a long term here? Really need LL on the field!Doughty is definitely the biggest bump.
