Larry Fitz pulls hammy: HC Green says 2-4 weeks (1 Viewer)

I know there's a lot of coaches that will throw out a BS statement to alter the oppontents game prep but I don't know jack about Denny Green - does he have a history of floating statements that turn out to be spin?
Review the numerous threads about Warner/Leinart just two weeks ago. I believe Green also gave estimates all over the place with Boldin a couple years ago when he was out for multiple weeks.

It ain't much but somewhat hopeful!!!

Injury report

Green said linebacker Karlos Dansby has a hip flexor injury and likely will miss Sunday's game against Green Bay.

Strong safety Adrian Wilson (groin), linebacker Orlando Huff (elbow) and fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo (leg contusion) also might miss time.

Green expects linebacker James Darling to return from a calf injury that has sidelined him five weeks. Receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) and right guard Milford Brown (ankle) also could return this week, but defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy (ankle) still is probably a week away.

We should know more by Wed practice - would be nice to have him back!

Bump. Any news on Fitz for Week 8.

October 19, 2006, 09:49Cardinals :: WRWR Fitzgerald Targets Nov.12 Return?Adam Schefter, NFL.com - [Full Article]WR Larry Fitzgerald injured his hamstring on Oct. 8, and he was projected to miss two to five weeks. It now looks like it will be closer to five weeks. Fitzgerald will not play Sunday against the Raiders, and he is not expected to play the following week at Green Bay. The week after is the Cardinals bye, which would give him an extra week to heal. It sets up his return for the Nov. 12 tilt against the Cowboys.

There is a small chance he will play this week. But, I doubt he will with the bye week coming up.

You're telling this to the guy who traded away KJ and DJax for him a week before the injury (in a keeper where I could only keep 2 RBs (Bush and DeW)).

GETTING HEALTHIER

Safety Adrian Wilson (groin) and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett (back) each returned to practice Thursday and should be ready to play Sunday. Linebacker James Darling (calf) is also back to full speed. Guard Milford Brown (ankle) also practiced.

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) was taking part in some light run-throughs with the offense early in practice, but it was without his helmet and he will almost certainly skip the Green Bay game.

The Cards were forced to put cornerback Antrel Rolle on the injured list with a sore hip, but Rolle still practiced and coach Dennis Green said Rolle should be fine Sunday.

Linebacker Karlos Dansby (hip), defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy (ankle) and fullback Obafemi Ayanbandejo (leg) all sat out and won’t play Sunday.
http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=77580The good news is that at least he's running lightly.

Hopefully he'll be ready to go after the bye week.

I'd rather he wait til after the bye to make sure he's completely healthy. No sense running him out there right now only to risk further injury when he's not 100%.
