Larry Fitzgerald overrated? (1 Viewer)

Not an owner or anything but he clearly doesn't have the talent that Boldin does. Sure he's a redzone monster but is that it? I looked at his stats from last year and he only had one game reach 17 fantasy points and only had 2 100-yard games. He did miss 3 game but thats not that bad. Why do people keep rating Fitz as Arizona's #1 WR?

He's brutally slow. Sure he has hands but he has to fight for every ball throw to him. He lost this past week when the defender just took the ball from him.

I would suggest looking at his stats from 2 years ago with Warner at QB b/c there seems to be a change coming.

I'd be more interested to see/know which WR (Fitz/Boldin) are drawing the opposing teams #1 CB/double coverage more often. I don't watch many Cardinal games, but it seems like Fitz always draws the tougher matchup............which may benefit Boldin greatly. Just an observation. Any Cardinal homers out there??

i have always thought Boldin was the better player. he's just a beast after the catch and he tries to take it to the house every play. It just seems like Fitz only has jump balls thrown to him. maybe thats the fault of the team or maybe its just the QB knowing he's not good at anything else but I think he is overrated for sure. I mean don't get me wrong I'd still like to have him, but he's not in a WR1 class IMHO

Yesterday Boldin had the easier matchup. Rolle plays D like he's standing still.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Quiet - Bolden is the #1 WR in Arizona and has been for the past two years but Fitz is always drafted before him.

Bolden also is known as a very hard worker while Fitz relies on his "natural' ability and slacks.

If you can't see Fitzgerald's ability as a WR, I am not sure that you are looking. He is not blazing fast, but he has good game speed. The issue is qb and play calling. Fitz is a premiere talent playing in an offense where there are only so many balls that can be thrown.

Rolle didn't play yesterday.

Well, to be fair, he was right about the standing still part then...

I predicted that Boldin and Fitz would swap values by the end of the year... and they may have done so already. Boldin was underrated, and Fitz was probably overrated.

2 years ago when Warner was the starter:

Larry Fitzgerald 16 103 1409 10

Anquan Boldin 14 102 1402 7

Pretty close numbers. I think that both of these receivers would benefit from Warner being in there, rather than Leinart, but both receivers have talent. As a Fitz owner I was happy to see Warner in the game and am still happy even though he didn't get his this week, it will come with Warner out there.

BTW- Sorry about the assumption of coverage. Wasn't paying close attention, I just assumed because he was so open it must have been Rolle covering him.
