Dirty Weasel

Only 4 times in the last 30 years has a RB had over 80% of his teams total carries, total rushing TD's, and RB catches. 3 of those times were in consecutive seasons with the same team, but with 2 different RB's:

1998 - Marshall Faulk

1999 - Edgerrin James

2000 - Edgerrin James

Can you name the 4th?

Hmm, the numbers all add up if you subtract Alex Smith (or just ignore him like I did.) Hoping the Dirty Weasel forgot about Smith as I did, I'm too tired to research this. :goodposting:

Larry Johnson just missed it last year. 81% of carries, 100% of TDs, but only 77% of receptions.

Roger Craig is my first thought based on the reception part of this. If not him, a similar, solid all around RB.

Here's a clue - the year before he broke into the 80% club, he actually had an even better season, but was under 80% in 2 of 3 categories. The year before, he had more carries, more yards, higher yard per carry, more TD's, more catches, more receiving yards, and a higher yard per catch. His prior season actually holds historical significance. That last sentence should give it away.

Eric Dickerson

James Wilder 1985

Your clue about his previous year gave it away. I had immediately suspected it was Wilder but I only checked his season with 400+ carries and 80+ receptions.

In 1985 he had:

365 of 434 total carries (84%)

10 of 11 Rushing TDs (91%)

53 of 58 RB receptions (91%)

For comparison, in 1984 Wilder had

407 of 483 carries (84%)

13 of 17 TDs (76%)

85 of 113 RB receptions (75%)

BTW - Edge would've been the only member of the 90% club, if not for the 5 combined rushes by WR Terrence Wilkins (3), WR Jerome Pathon (1), and P Hunter Smith (1) in 2000.
