League MVP? (1 Viewer)

This isn't even close and it's been debated before. There's a lot of potential candidates, guys who deserve to have their seasons recognized. But there is only one who is clear cut above the rest. The only question is how much will he pay Madden to keep his shielded visor off the cover of Madden 08.

Although LT2 is certainly one of the most exciting players to watch in the NFL today, he would not get my vote as the league MVP.

The Chargers have a great TEAM assembled this year with many key components in place. M. Turner has shown regularly that he can carry the rock in LT2's absence. I'm not intending to dis LT2, but Gates, and Merriman are also valuable to the Chargers.

You could also make a case for Drew Brees, Jeff Garcia, Tom Brady, Brian Urlacher ...

If you take Frank Gore away from the 49ers, then what do you have? 1-15, 2-14 and the first pick of the draft in 2007. I think that by definition he is the MVP.

Yes but it is not a TEAM MVP award it is the MVP of the LEAGUE. Gore will be the MVP of the 49ers but Tomlinson is the clear cut MVP of the NFL.

I wouldn't say it's "not close." LT2 beats out Brees, I think, but I think Brees is a pretty comparable second. The Saints wouldn't be .500 with most of the alternatives they had at QB, and instead they clinched their division with 2 games to go.

The Chargers woul be better without LT2 than the Saints without Brees, but LT2 is having one of the best seasons by a RB in NFL history. And the Chargers are probably the best team in the NFL. So I think it goes to LT2.

Frank Gore might crack the top 5, but he's not even close to LT2/Brees.

It's going to be LT2 and it will be by a landslide. The guy is having a monster record breaking year....his team is #1...he's multi-talented as a runner, receiver and can even throw a td or 2.

Hands down....no doubt...I'll be my house that LT2 will win the MVP.

Case closed.
