Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (3 Viewers)

Good, glad the o-line is gonna be whole again soon. Now, if only Shady would be on the field when the Eagles are in the RZ. 'K?? Thanks... He might not score 5 TDs this year.

Evan Mathis - G - Eagles

Eagles LG Evan Mathis (MCL) said he's been cleared to resume practicing.

Currently on the I.R./return list, Mathis isn't eligible to play until Week 10, but it's sounding good for his chances of hitting the playing field then. Mathis is one of the best guards in football. The Eagles also recently got back RT Lane Johnson from suspension. The arrow should be pointing up on Shady McCoy.

Jason Kelce is ahead of schedule in his recovery and it's been reported in Philly that he could play against Houston.

Has the ship sailed to buy-low?
Not necessarily. He has a tough matchup against Arizona this week.
Any McCoy owners receive any offers? or what do you expect in return per se?
Just received an offer in a 0.5 ppr 2 keeper league of Maclin and hilman for McCoy.Very tempted to pull the trigger. B
Depends on your other WR's.
Jordy, ODB, Pierre, Davante, Royal.

Hilmans usage upon Balls return worries me.

I can't wait to see how this pans out on Sunday.

YES! More good news, I wonder if Kelce could even play this week:

Kelce: We're trying to avoid a setback

Evan Mathis went on TV Tuesday and said his teammate Jason Kelce was ahead of schedule in his recovery from sports hernia surgery.

Mathis suggested that Kelce had a chance to get back on the field in Week 9 against the Houston Texans. So naturally, the Eagles’ center was asked about that possibility today.

"I really wish he wouldn’t have said that because now it pushes me a little bit harder," said Kelce. "This is the first day I’ve even been out of practice, and obviously I wasn’t a full participant. I was kind of just out there moving around. I’m still hesitant to put a date on it even if Mathis isn’t.

"I’m definitely not 100 percent. There’s still some tightness in the groin area. But that’s kind of to be expected, and that’s what we’re working to get over in the next week or two."

After he had surgery, Kelce had targeted either this week or next week to return to practice. So it's a good sign that he's on schedule or even ahead of schedule. But a rushed return could cause a setback, which is what Kelce wants to avoid.

"There’s a small chance of going out there and really doing something drastically bad to the injury," Kelce said. "What we’re trying to avoid is a setback in the recovery process, which wouldn’t necessarily put me back into a six-to-eight week recovery. It would probably put me back two to three weeks or something like that. That’s what we’re trying to avoid. If you come back too soon, it inflames the area and swells it up too much, so you can’t really get back too fast.

"My mobility and bending and everything is fine. It’s really when I elongate my stance and really stretch the groin muscle. That’s when I feel it the most."

Kelce lost some weight after surgery and is down to 285 pounds, but he expects to be back up to his playing weight of 290 by the time he returns to game action.

I post this only because some are trying to gauge his value. We are in s PPR flex league with no TE, I just gave Bradshaw and Gronk for him.

Feeling good about it too. Oline getting healthy, ChipK gets time to move and motivate, bye week at mid season. Im hyped.

Shady won't score 5 TDs by season's end. I could live w/ that if he got higher volume of targets from the 40+ pass attempts Foles seems to get every damn week.

Evan Silva, Rotoworld:

With his bye out of the way and matchups against Houston, Carolina, Green Bay, and Tennessee all in succession, LeSean McCoy's buy-low window is about to slam shut. RT Lane Johnson is locked back in at right tackle, while C Jason Kelce and LG Evan Mathis will both return within the next two weeks. Kelce (sports hernia) is expected to start against the Texans. Although his fantasy production didn't fully cooperate, McCoy's lateral agility and burst were back at full tilt in last Sunday's bout with Arizona's top-three run defense, as Shady created space for himself and was credited with six missed tackles forced by Pro Football Focus, McCoy's highest total since Week 1. McCoy's workloads were never a concern, and his supporting cast is improving rapidly. Over his last two games, McCoy has gained 232 yards on 43 carries (5.40 YPC). Acquiring McCoy right now is a potentially league-winning move. On the season, the Brian Cushing-less Texans rank 16th in fantasy points allowed to running backs, permitting a crisp 4.23 yards per carry. ...

I didn't get to see much of his game. I did look at his last month though and he's averaged about 20-24 carries and 100 yards. Not terrible but I think the touchdown production will come most likely.

He's not preferred on passing plays or in short yardage, which is not what you want from a high first rounder. His numbers are now respectable, but RB usage has to change for them to get better than that.

He had to leave after a long run and that's why Polk vultured, at least according to RW. It's all about volume right now or else his production would be more disappointing. Few to no catches and hasn't sniffed the end zone.

Blowing up over Twitter that Nick Foles has a broken collarbone.

What does this do to McCoy?
I don't own McCoy, but I think Foles injury increases his value, the Eagles will put the game on McCoys shoulders, you known their not going to ask or trust Mark S., to win the games. So I say bump McCoy

LeSean McCoy has gone over 80 rushing yards in four consecutive games for the first time in his career.

McCoy's slow start and zero touchdowns since Week 2 has owners frustrated. It's time to pounce with a buy-low offer. He continues to run at an extremely high level, averaging 5.28 YPC over his last three games, and got stud C Jason Kelce back Sunday. The touchdowns are going to come and the upcoming schedule is fantastic: Panthers, Packers, Titans, Cowboys. McCoy is going to shatter his current 320-1,244-2 rushing pace.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Is RW serious?

^^^ I know, I found it somewhat funny too. So let me get this straight, because Shady has rushed for more than 80 yds, in 4 consecutive games, it necessarily means more TDs to come? Actual usage be damned? Uhhh, o.k...... Guess that means we'll start seeing a steady stream of 20+ yd TD runs (and most surely, not receptions of that length).

Two things:

1 - 2014 is looking a lot like 2012 and 2009. 2012 he was injured for four games, and 2009 he was splitting carries with a bunch of backs in his rookie year. It's almost like he's an every second year player...

2 - he's reminding me a lot of the old Vikings RB Robert Smith. Smith would continuously get 1500 yards but score 2-5 TDs (maybe I'm exagerating but that's the kind of player I remember him being).

I think McCoy is a stronger player than Smith was, but based on how he's being used, I would have to say my most expensive dynasty player is currently behind LeVeon Bell, Ahmad Bradshaw, and probably even Denard Robinson on my depth chart. I'll start him this week because of the matchup, but against a top 50% defense, he's not leaving my bench.

And I wouldn't trade him because of our league rules - he's in the last year of his contract (I would have matching rights), and for a guy hovering at the bottom end of RB#2, I don't expect him to go for nearly as much in next year's auction.

...very dissapointed...

I would like to know Sanchez history in checking down to his RB? What were his tendencies at NY and in the preseason.

Lot's of interceptions, butt fumbles and circus-esque behavior. In all seriousness, LT ended up with a healthy amount of receptions when he was in town (52 one year). Greene was the workhorse at times as well but he has stone hands.
