Yup, that's my concern being out of it at this point. I want to think this is just a down year and the line has had trouble with injuries and gelling. I'm definitely nervous he has begun his decent though.

Only his second 20 pt game of the year in my PPR. And it was 20.10 (his other way 20.20).
Even when he has a "big" game like today, it's just....yay? I don't know what to say. It's better than the 10 pts he'd been cranking out, I'll give him that.
But he's basically Alfred Morris. Doesn't get targets, doesn't bust long TDs - you're strictly hoping for workload and a TD.

This. I dumped Shady last week and instead put my eggs in Crowell's basket in two leagues. I am happy with that decision because this was about as good as it gets for Shady. I fully expected him to score 30+ this week in PPR because of the matchup. He still underperformed that number.

So even when he puts up 130 and a TD, people still aren't happy because they expected 150 and 2 TDs. I thought we had all adjusted our expectations to low RB1 range?

This is what you held him for, for those who did. The line is getting back to form and assuming the Eagles aren't blowing everyone out, Shady should be pretty solid going forward. Could have easily had a much bigger game yesterday had they felt any need at all to keep playing him in the last quarter.

I hope so, I owned him for 2 weeks and so far, he's had 10 and 19. That's a nice upgrade from where I was at with my RBs. It sucks I really had to overpay for him, but it was just what had to be done to get a potential RB1. Yeah, but Charles and Murray are givens. Lynch won't because of his schedule and back. Crow and CJ came from nowhere and McCoy was supposed to but has been a big disappointment for most of the year. McCoy might be bouncing back at just the right time.

I'll start believing in McCoy again if he can follow-up his "about damn time" week 12 performance against a #### defense with RB1 numbers at Dallas this week.
I do agree Crowell could be a common theme on many a playoff roster this year. I hate his week 13 matchup, and I wish West didn't exist, but I have to believe most Crow owners will still roll him out there (me included).

He's a solid low-end RB1. He'd be top 5 if they gave him GL, or threw him the ball when he's wide-### open. But they don't.

Yeah CJ is doing great and Lacy too but I think McCoy is running exceptionally the last couple games. But of course both CJ and Lacy definitely deserve to be mentioned as hot backs -- just not the hottest 2. I'd rank 'em: 1) McCoy 2) Crow 3) CJ 4) Lacy 5) Charles at the moment. Murray has cooled as of late -- still putting up solid numbers but not the monster games he was earlier.
How many owners in this thread dumped McCoy and now are regretting it?

I tried trading Shady away starting around week 5 (was not liking his usage at all...still don't, even though he's running it so well). I just couldn't get more than low ball offers.

Well maybe it's for the best. Him and the other 5 RBs mentioned just above all are going to be the guys to ride in the playoffs along with maybe Foster if he can get healthy. The catch is were you able to survive long enough for this resurgence to matter? I agree his usage (no passing game, no GL) isn't optimal; it's all volume based but now he's turning that volume into true production and not into 19 yards.
I read something that said McCoy was traded pretty heavily following the Carolina and GB games, both of which were disappointing and abutted many leagues' trade deadline. I'll have to see if I can find that link.

I don't think you'll see him involved this year in the passing game for whatever reason(s). Or really getting regular GL carries. His productivity is going to come from getting 20+ carries regularly and now that the O Line is in good shape, turning those carries into 100+ yards.
Maybe since they want him carrying the ball 20+ times per game, they don't want the added wear and tear of catching passes too.

I just traded for McCoy 2 weeks ago and he seems to be getting a decent amount of RZ looks to me. He is out there a lot at the GL.

He's having a good season. The real issue is that his three really bad games were REALLY bad, and it made the rest of his season totals look like he was having a bad week every week. The offensive line issues didn't help, but what's also hurt him is the Eagles D/ST getting quick scores and killing the Eagles' time of possession. McCoy's own play has been decent.

I'm still nervous that he isn't a part of the passing game. Yes he's running great the past couple weeks but with no activity in the pass game it leaves him open to putting up a stinker. With all that said I'll gladly take what he's been giving us lately.

I have noticed this too, kinda surprised they have not exploited this. Seems like he's basically a decoy on these plays? I wonder if PFF or someone has the numbers, but I swear it seems like he comes out for Sproles on every single 3rd down without fail, I am sure that's part of the reason he is getting so little passing game work.

Using him as decoy this often only makes sense if he's taking up coverage. From what I've seen he has not. He is wide ### open.
