Just got offered Gronk/Latavius for Shady/Keenan Allen... ??? not sure what trickery this is.
you better accept fast before guy comes to senses... Mccoy is headed downward and is probably done.. Gronk top 10 player in league... Keenan is ok but Latavius is gonna be nice
Nah I blew it. Contemplated it for ten minutes too long. Holding my breath now that it's not too bad and I can still move him.

Damn dude. You had an opportunity to pick up a cornerstone player for a fading stud RB with an un-diagnosed but possibly serous injury and you waffled. That's rough.

Yep. Dang work getting in the way of fantasy sports per usual.

Good thing work didn't prevent you from posting about it on a message board though.

I would've accepted that trade without a moment's thought. Its an auto-yes.

I remember a game a couple years ago McCoy went down right before the half. You would have thought they were going to amputate his leg in the locker room the way he was rolling around on the ground. He came out in the 2nd half and absolutely beasted.

Yes I am wishful thinking as I just trade for Shady last week.

LeSean McCoy - RB - Bills

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Colts.

McCoy badly pulled his left hamstring in Tuesday's practice, requiring an MRI. There was concern McCoy would have a lengthy absence, but the test results came back clean for the most part, and McCoy is merely week-to-week and in no real danger of missing regular-season action. It's highly unlikely we'll see him the rest of the preseason. Injuries have become a slight concern for McCoy, as he's also dealt with recent toe issues.

Could be a blessing in disguise.

Hoping it's a grade 1 where it's 0-2 week injury and he has 3.5 weeks to get ready for Indy. If it was a grade 2, he'd be coming back at the front end of a 3-6 week injury.

Clean for the most part??? Good god reporting is so bad these days.

Not to mention saying he is "merely week to week and in no real danger of missing regular season action" For real?????

If it was "bad'y pulled" and Mccoy was limping, then there is a pretty darn decent chance he has a grade 2 hamstring injury, in which case, you bet your ### he is in SERIOUS danger of missing regular season games.

Sounds like Shefter picked random words out of a hat for this.

If these reports are true, do you think his ADP will drop enough to make his potential reward worth the risk that he won't be 100% (last year was the toe, now the hammy)? I'm not sure when I'd feel comfortable taking him.

Would love to see him drop to late second early third, as thats about where i see him being worth drafting...that said, i doubt it will happen. mid second is my guess for the cheapest he will be gotten.

Dr. Jene says early reports strongly suggest a worse grade strain than reports indicate.

Week 1 is 3 1/2 weeks from today. Reports on McCoy strongly suggest more than low grade strain. Smart money bets the over on full W1 return.

Josina Anderson's Facebook:

A ‪#‎Bills‬ source told me there's concern RB LeSean McCoy may not be fully ready for Wk 1. McCoy suffered a hamstring injury in practice Aug. 18. The source told me that McCoy's MRI showed, what was described internally, as a "small tear," adding: "They say it tore in a spot where it couldn't have been any better forus. It tore in a spot that is kind of high up, surrounded by stronger muscles in the glutes and things like that."

According to the source, McCoy is not at full speed in practice, but is doing rehab work including light footwork, agility and cardio conditioning, but there is concern about his ability to maintain his max "football shape" while he is not fully practicing.

"It's way too early to say whether (McCoy) will play or not. He is doing a little bit more every day. But hell yes, I'm concerned about that," the source said. "I can't say for sure he's going to be with us Week 1. I can't say that at all. It will take everything we got just to get him ready for game day, and then we get to game day (there's) no way he can be in great football shape. So I think he will be on a pitch count, I think at the very best.

Ouch. Who's the Bills RB to play if McCoy can't go week 1?

Judging from the fact that I drafted Bell in round 1 and Foster in round 5, my starting running backs for week 1 May need to be cobbled together from waiver scraps.

I think everyone expects Karlos Williams to get the work. He shouldn't be there, but is Jonas by chance out there?

Good question.

Karl's Williams , but he's coming off injury/illness as well.

Bryce Brown, also injured.

Too bad they don't have a proven 3 down veteran on the team they could trust for a game or 2.

Fred Jackson would be nice here, as I drafted him late as a safety net instead of Deangelo Williams. Karlos Williams or Matt Jones are probably my best bet as of now.

How close is Bryce Brown to playing?

I know Karl Williams was back practicing but he had some sort of 'injury' to a sensitive part of his body that the team didn't release to the media the last I heard he was seen the day after surgery limping in the locker room but haven't seen anything except that he was back practicing the other day.

Any word on Bryce Brown or an update on Williams?

Currently sitting at RB16 in ADP, crazy to think that the top 2 dynasty RBs from just two years ago (Foster), could both be sitting as a pick'em in round 5.

McCoy went #14, #16 and #25 overall in my three drafts this week. So it is crazy, unless you play in a 6-person league.

My bet is Bryce Brown will get the majority of touches if McCoy can't go. He's the most similar to McCoy.

Contrary to ESPN report A source close to LeSean McCoy tells me the Bills RB will be ready for week 1 unless he has a setback w/hamstring.

1:20 PM - 2 Sep 2015

McCoy will be a top 5 back this year. Calling it now.

That source sounds a little.... shady

I don't have him in any leagues but I like McCoy a lot this year. I think the Bills offense is going to be surprisingly effective this year with McCoy getting tons of touches.

As long as it doesnt linger the hamstring issue may have been a blessing in disguise and created really good value for redraft owners.

Rotoworld:

NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the Bills "plan" to give LeSean McCoy (hamstring) the "bulk" of the backfield work Week 1 against the Colts.

McCoy isn't 100 percent over his training-camp hamstring injury, but he's close after taking it easy the last two weeks of the preseason. The Bills listed him as probable and plan to work him. McCoy makes for an interesting contrarian play in DFS this week. Buffalo's plan will certainly be to attack the Colts on the ground, and McCoy could have upwards of 20 touches Sunday.
