Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (2 Viewers)

Her having a point and her lying about having a source to "scoop" a story about a big name player missing extensive time are mutually exclusive.

her point was valid. But that's not how she reported it.

It's not ridiculous to hold journalists to a high standard of accuracy, whether it's the NFL or general news.
If Shady is active and looks like himself her credibility will be pretty much at 0.

If Shady is active and re-injures himself her credibility will be restored and Rex will look like a fool again.

The ridiculous I was referring to was that multiple people here believe Shady faked this injury to look like a hero, among other things.

Oh, yeah, I think he is genuinely injured.

However it may be a very minor injury that should never have been reported, much less with the degree of scrutiny and hype with which this one was handled.

I don't know about the hero part, but I watched this guy before go down like he was shot with a rifle..scream in pain to to where it looked like his career was over. Only to come back later in the game no worse for wear

People can believe whatever they want.  I've personally, and seen many other people, take shots to the knee (specifically in my case, other body parts for others) where there was initial excruciating pain and fear that it may be something serious only to later be able to walk it off and be fine.

That people type with such certainty from their couch or wherever else that somebody is faking an injury is ridiculous IMO.  Especially with a soft tissue injury like a hamstring.

But again, people believe what they want.

Uhhh... Maybe playing football hurts? We going to flag a player for feeling pain?... really?

If he plays through it good, but if he really wants to play hero and this is all just some sort of behavior that he exudes regularly then I say let him. Maybe it psyches himself up and makes him play harder by defeating some odds that he puts on himself. Players do all sorts of stuff to hype themselves up. I don't see a problem with Shady's antics they are harmless to you when its all down in the boxscore.

He was never even hurt guys. Not one bit, he is a drama queen and he wants you to think he is playing through an injury.
Hartliner, yes playing football hurts, but McCoy has a flare for the dramatics. I have said since the injury he is not hurt, this goes to the fact that he fakes and is dramatic, that cant be disputed from the video clips I see of McCoy running as if he is coming off bye. This is not the running of a guy with an injury to his leg tissue.

If you dont see a problem with a guys antics who fakes injuries, I dont know what to say to you then.

I don't won't to play Shady today but will now have to if he's active due to my lack of RB depth behind him and Bell.

I just hope he comes out healthy.  The pitch count thought process seems stupid to me but we'll see.

If you have both and McCoy is active and looks ok in warmups i think you play McCoy. I don't have McGillicutty so i'm benching McCoy and going Ware to pair with Lamar Miller. In another league i play the Shady owner and i picked up Gilgamesh as a preemptive block. I'm not starting him though as i'm rolling with Freeman and Crow and Tevin Coleman at flex.

Schaefer tweeting Shady is active but on a 25-30 play pitch count. Same news we've had for a day or two. What he dies with those plays (blocks, goal line,???) S anyone's guess. Not sure how 25 plays is safer than 50 with a bum hammy

#Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is officially active. Should be his normal self.

Yeah I'm concerned that McCoy is active the same way Foster was last week...   He's active but they don't use him...? Ugh.

I wish I could start neither.

May hedge this one...play him in the one league where I really would start either McCoy, Gillislee (or maybe pick up Mike Davis...but my drop would be tough there)...or Forte.

The catch is I already took a terrible score with Cam Meredith.

Other league...PPR, I think I will sit him for Jacquizz.

I just don't get it: if you're too injured to play your usual complement of snaps, how does reducing the number protect you from further injury? All it takes is one burst, sprint, cut....just don't get it?!?!?!  It just makes me think of Gronk who was on limited snaps initially but certainly only on plays that are not his typical/expose him potentially to harm--blocking and short end zone fades.

Damn the Thursday games- played Howard because wasn't sure on Shady, Gurly going this morning so to play McCoy would have to swap out Ware. Cant do it so rolling with Ware

I agree and wish he would sit...but guess you just have to trust the player and training staff at some point.  We are mostly going off of 2nd hand information of how hurt he really is/was in the first place.

Gillie may make a decent start, anyways. Bills D likely to stifle the Fins O should allow Buff to run plenty. Florida guy playing against the team that drafted him but let him go. He should have a little extra mo.

This needs to be investigated by the league. This was dirty and if the injury report is to show clarity and not risk gambling issues, this is the exact thing that messes witht hat.

I expect McCoy to have 19 carries for 115 yards with 4 catches for 30 yards, a touch and at least two season ending injuries that he suffers but finishes the game and will play next week too.

Buf didn't do anything wrong; it was the Twitterverse that went crazy speculating before any facts. I guess we will find out the truth soon enough...

I believe differently, I believe leaking sources is doing something wrong and if he wasnt truly questionable or even hurt as I am certain he wasnt, this is a problem. That was not an injured player working out this morning. I own both McCoy and Glee.

If Buf did in fact falsely report a practice injury, then I agree.  But how would we ever know? Maybe that's why the reports of pitch counts--if he's fine they can always increase hismworload during the game since he showed no set backs.

It's a bit extreme or a lot of conspiracy theories at work to get a team to not gameplan against your greatest offensive weapon.

What a mess. I could start Gill & McCoy, but I don't feel comfortable removing Ty Williams or Jizz to put both in so I have Glee in right now. SMH!

I am not starting McCoy or Gill.  I already used my flex spot on Thursday, and I am rolling with J White and J Rodgers at RB today.  After Meredith vomited on my flex spot on Thursday, cannot afford another spot getting basically nothing. And the rest of my team is stacked (Brady, Gronk, Evans, both Denver WRs), so I should be fine.  That's not to say that it won't hurt when McCoy goes off today.

I have both and will start McCoy - as long as he is starting I think you have to play him - obviously sucks to know he might be out after the first series but it is Fantasy so I am seeing him play most of the game and scoring at least once

Mixed bag for me.

Some leagues I'm missing a lot of players this week and in those leagues I'm starting both of them. Some leagues I have both I'm playing neither due to safer and solid options. Some I have to decide which one and if I have to put in one I'm putting in McCoy.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy On ACTIVE List - Should be "normal self" per Rapoport

Summary: The Bills will have RB LeSean McCoy today. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport just tweeted,"#Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is officially active. Should be his normal self." Here's something that has us feeling much better - RB Jonathan Williams is a healthy scratch and on the inactive list. If they were too worried about McCoy, Williams would likely be on the Active list.

Rotoworld:

After watching LeSean McCoy (hamstring) in pre-game warmups, ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak observed that McCoy "does not look close to 100 percent when cutting and exploding."
Rodak proceeded to note that McCoy took a pre-game handoff all the way to the house as opposed to stopping, drawing roars from fans paying attention to warmups. This is a tricky situation and we'd be lying if we pretended to know how it will play out. McCoy is best viewed as a boom-bust Week 7 fantasy start. His tough-to-predict usage and performance will affect Mike Gillislee's workload.
