Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (2 Viewers)

The Bills are collectively one of the dumbest franchises in the NFL, placing them high in the running for dumbest sports franchise worldwide.

Seriously...

How stupid can the Bills be?  I guess they did play McCoy last week, so maybe they figure they will double down on absolutely awful decision making?

This may be slight hyperbole... but has there EVER been a running back or wide reciever with a mid-grade hamstring or quad injury who successfully played through the injury without aggravating it?

Gilislee's value skyrocketed the moment it was announced that McCoy was active.

You can go through whatever mental gymnastics you want to justify all of the ridiculous stuff you were posting last Sunday.  Based on other stuff you post I'm pretty sure you're good at that.
You left out Hot Sauce Guy's real gem (in here anyway):  Where he advocated a wait-and-see approach to picking up Gillislee.  This, in the wake of LeSean McCoy's (of all players) hammy news coming out.  Worst advice you could possibly give at that time.

I'm still not convinced Gill has much value beyond your typical handcuff. Plays patriots, Seahawks, bye week. Unless everyone thinks McCoy will still be injured post bye? As a McCoy owner I'm considering dropping him before Sundays games.

Hurting at RB now that I've lost CJ for the rest of the year so I went and grabbed Reggie Bush to fill the slot. (Gillislee already owned.) Maybe some sneaky value there?

As a past Shady owner, you never know. Hammy's are a pain.

I'm still questioning if he is hurt and not faking and this is the result of his poor performance to save face. I will never trust this drama queens injuries.

You dont like my belief? He has a history, and I will question him. If that doesnt jive with you, so be it.
He has a history of going down like bricks and coming back. I said he would play, he played.
Now, I say he is a faker and taking this to the extreme. You dont have to agree, but this is the type of person Shady is, hence his nickname and his friends who dont like him and talk about him behind his back. They even question him here in NY. But since you have fantasy on the mind, we wont discuss that people close to him are questioning him because you dont want to hear it. This isnt on the Bills for all those quick to judge, they also didnt believe he was TRULY hurt, this is retaliation to them not believing him, so are the rumors.
But I'll stop now saying things you dont want to hear.

Out today...but he is probably faking that too.

Really he is going to wear someone else's uniform.  That way if he has a good game he will rip it off for max drama and reveal it was him all along.

So players dont fake injuries is what you are saying?
He is not as hurt as led on to believe, based of his past.
That is my take, it wont change. Dont engage me if you dont want to discuss it, because if engaged this is my discussion.
This is a "how concerned are we" thread, this is my concern.

You should change your name to WheelsOff.

So, after one of his best games...he faked being hurt that week and fakes being limited and coming out of the game.  And he is willing to fake it so much that he misses another game?

Is it that hard to admit you are full of it with the faking it stuff?

Yes, players do things for many reasons. Full of it?

I could have been more forward and say I know someone who I do business with who has direct business dealings here in NY with SHADY himself. They are close, and very personal. Good friends, but his friend cant keep his mouth shut since he likes to show off how close him and McCoy are. But I am also close friends with this guy so he trusts me as well. I know he does not have a hammy, but this is something that is affecting him emotionally and is making him ill in a different regard. Something the Bills also know, why they were not worried about throwing their star player out there. Nothing long term from what I understand, thats why hammy is perfect cover. It would be embarrassing for McCoy if it came to light, thats why this is the cover. He will be back after the bye and will not play against Seattle either. McCoy has not even had an MRI. So if you want to say I'm full of it thats fine. But in this regard, you have no clue what you are talking about. Because you read it on the internet doesnt make it true. Goes to show when we are challenged none of us can keep our mouth shut since I was just guilty of it to defend myself, but I didnt want to be that forward.

In the world of the internet where trying to get inside info is so important, when someone who provides some gets mocked, thats not encouraging. You do not have to take what I say as fact, but its something to consider. You dont have to mock someone for it.

I read a thread where a guy got destroyed for the info that Calvin was retiring. Sometimes people have info. What you choose to do with it is up to you.

:lmao:  Ask your friend to hit up 31 flavors and ask how Ferris is doing for us.

The expected response. I literally have said you engage me this is my discussion, so you engage me to troll me?
No more of a trolling than your "he is faking it" nonsense.

Now...if somehow we learn your "friend" is right and its all just emotional and not a hammy issue, I will be the first to give you a pat on the back.

I don't think there is any way I will ever need to do so though.

You're full of it

All this talk of a player faking an injury is turning this into a  :tfp:

McCoy isn't faking an injury - he's been one of the best RBs in the league this year and I hardly think he's going to fake injury just in time for two huge divisional matchups.

Thats arguably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Ever.

Yeah, it's almost as dumb as you telling people here to wait to pick up Mike Gillislee after word was getting out on McCoy's hammy.

Any update on his Herpes, errr, I mean Hammy? They say flare ups last two-three weeks or (2-20 days). Relax, the info I have is he aint playing this week. But the creme is being used.
Expect him back after the bye, as of now.

he has a hammy, guaranteed.

From faking it for drama to the herp?
Yeah, big 180 there. He's faking it because he's Shady. Then he's mad at the team for not believing in him. For the record, that's the same team that traded for him and gave him a big contract and were criticized for doing it. Then released their #2 RB before the season, a guy who would have taken more snaps from McCoy. Now he's got herpes. Tomorrow he's a member of ISIS and won't play until he's cleared by the government, right @WheelsUp ?

Yeah, it's your narrative and you're pushing it very hard.  Probably doesn't belong in this thread and most would appreciate it if you let it go.
Well, his best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Shady with Ferris out at 31 Flavors last night with no noticeable limp.

First it was just faking it for drama.  Then it was "retaliation for not believing in him."

Then it was "something that is affecting him emotionally and is making him ill in a different regard."

Now its an STD.  As if NFL players, or any athletes for that matter, can't play with STDs.

All based on "someone someone does business with" and "who has direct business dealings with Shady in NY."  Not Buffalo or NYC, or anywhere else specifically mind you.  Just NY. And I mean....his nickname is "Shady" right?  Then has the nerve to compare it to the Calvin Johnson retirement scoopage.

GTFOH.  If there is an inkling of truth to ANY of this then I will be first to apologize but really......Can we ban this foolishness.  It represents the very worst of the SP.

Am I the only one still completely shocked that BUF let McCoy play two weeks ago? Judging by GIl's performance vs. NE, in no universe did playing McCoy make sense.

Rex really is that stupid. Plus, watching him laugh on the sideline while his team was getting massacred this week made me realize that I apparently care more about my fantasy team than he does the Bills.

I didnt want to be so blunt until the relentless call out. I wanted to stay classy, but the attacks made me kind of blunt it up a little bit.
He is faking the hammy, he has a herpe flare up.Ii guess its pretty bad. He tried to play through it but it it was too troublesome. Thats all I know.
You dont have to buy it, but I'm just sharing the info I have had.

I know nothing about Vicks herpes situation, just McCoys. "sources" as they say.

You want me to be banned for sharing with you what I know because you dont like it? That is what is the very worst about the SP my friend. You want to quiet the info I have because you dont like it, think about that. smh.

Just stop.  its not becuse we dont like it...its because by all accounts there is zero factual basis for your claim (which has changed from your  first claims).

Thats why you  are getting called out.

I have no idea how Herpes would prevent a player from playing. If that was even remotely true, he would be out with an "illness" not a hammy. Team don't have to give specifics about the illness tag, but I believe there is a fine for listing an incorrect injury.

From the "questions you probably don't want to know the answer to" dept:

Why wouldn't a guy be able to play with a herpes flareup?  They're skin sores/blisters, right?  I'm sure it's no fun but it shouldn't/wouldn't keep you from being able to run/cut/jump etc. would it?

How do you prove someone has Herpes? I careless about being called out, it just made me show off how much I know because some people in this community are ungrateful with the info some provide. I know something you dont, I tried to share it, you dont want to hear it. Thats fine, but the insults and wanting me banned? Then you say 0 factual basis? McCoy is just gonna come out and tell you, because you are upset about info you dont want to believe? Thats fine, but again, the insults?

As far as injury report? Specifics or not people question, same with Montgomery. Illness will come out, people will dig. Hammy avoids any issue. Heck, I'm telling you guys right now and you dont believe it.

I was about to search "physical activity with Herpes" but I share this computer with my wife, so...

   even giving WU the benefit of any doubt, what's the likelihood the Bills or Shady go on record later and admit his claims?

From how I understand it, the location of the flare up can impact running from its contact with the leg or rear end. It can last up to 3 weeks and can cause uncomfortable pain that cant be prevented due to location and under skin virus. Just the simple research I googled.

This kind of pain that the Herpes Virus inflicts on its host (or poor sufferer) is similar to the nerve pain of sciatica, and as the breakout continues, it becomes localised to the site of first infection. The pain then is more radiating and can be incredibly intense. In genital Herpes this can cause discomfort when sitting, urinating and in severe outbreaks even walking can worsen the pain.

But again, they are just rumors. I have not seen McCoys package or anything, just know someone who has.

:oldunsure:

Shady?

I contracted herpes 16 years ago. I first got a rash on my inner thigh. I get the outbreak about 5 times a year. The symptoms seem to be getting worse as I age. On my most recent outbreak I was in bed for an entire day with severe muscle weakness and fatigue. The rash on my leg did not ever blister. I felt flu-like symptoms as well. The doctors seem to be perplexed by the severity of my illness. One doctor said it was shingles and another said that the test showed I never have had shingles.
I can really tell if I start taking a new medication or if I am in allergy season. This is when I feel the worst. My whole body shuts down. My digestive system stops working, and I feel constipated. I am tired and have muscle and joint pain. I don't know what to do. I am hesitant to take the antiviral because I don't want to be on medication everyday.

You are not the only one shocked.  The stupidity of Rex and other HCs in the NFL shocks me at least once every week.

Yeah, you tried bringing it up with Montgomery . ..and they have already  disclosed his illness.

Point is...your attitude with this plus baseless claims make you look like you are just trolling. congrats.

So why was he limping on the field against the Dolphins? Did the Herpes do that, too? Or was he just putting on a show because he's faking this injury?

Nothing and I bet we won't know anything until game time. I'd bet McCoy is a GTD this week after some limited practices.
Against the Seahawks, I wouldn't start him in FF anyway. I would hope the Bills would be smart and rest him so that he is fresh coming out of the Bye. Gillislee did well but because the team was so behind he couldn't be utilized more. I would hope the team would hold him out until he's 100% rather than re-aggravate his hamstring again. If that happened he could be limited throughout the remainder of the year. I'd just assume bite the bullet and count him out.
