Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (3 Viewers)

If McCoy doesn't practice this week, it would convince me that he's sitting.

If he gets through a couple limited practices, things get pretty murky.

What's worse is, Bills don't play until Monday... so if you're a Buffalo Gill owner OR a McCoy owner lack of clarity is killer.

Lmfao . mike vick played with the herpes
According to the CDC, "about one out of every six people aged 14 to 49 years have genital herpes." I am going to go ahead and assume that percentage is even higher amongst NFL players who have likely been rawdogging every jersey-chasing slut they ran across since high school. Pretty sure Ron Mexico was not numero uno.

I have no clue if McCoy has the herp. I have serious doubts that is what is causing him to miss games.

At least McCoy having the herp would explain why the Bills were so cavalier about his injury and letting him play vs MIA in week 7.

All of Rex's comments after the game were that "they thought he was fine", and they basically got crucified in the media for that decision. I don't know anything really about herpes symptoms ( ), but if it is as painful and prone to flare-ups as those links suggest it helps explain why they would try to get him to play on a sore "hamstring".

If you believe the media, it's pretty well known that he does have herpes.  Flare up is anyone's guess, feel free to call and ask him.

So if he's had herpes for awhile wouldn't he be on meds that control it?

Guess if he doesn't have it under control an outbreak would make running pretty painful.  All in all better herpes than hamstring for his outlook rest of season.

I was thinking the same thing. This would kind of excuse all the "Rex has got to be the dumbest man on the planet for playing McCoy with a hamstring injury" stuff.

If available... Prosise is a good of stash as any for McCoy owners that don't own Gilleslie and have to wait for GTD to play out... if it looks that way.

Nice lotto ticket as well. I'm hamstrung by byes and injuries, so that's the move I'm making.

Right there with you, plus I like his long term value more than Gill as well.

Maybe it was an STD all along that is why McCoy and Rex both thought he could play through it a couple weeks ago.  One would think he should be able to go Monday night...right?  If in fact it was herpes, how long do these flare ups last??

According to the internet doctors, 2-20 days. The severe kind which would last longer are the ones that would prevent walking or running.

Is Glee really trustworthy on the road in Seattle if McCoy is indeed out this week?
McCoy may be a worthy person to bench, even if healthy, for this game even if he is active against a good team in Seattle?

As a McCoy/Glee owner, I'll happily roll out Glee or this week...I would say a lot of owners are strapped with all the byes this week and are struggling to get a starter in lineup.  Goal this crazy week is to avoid a fricken doughnut...

Why are you googling Herpes? Your "source" doesn't go to the doctor with McCoy? I thought they were tight...

He was never even hurt guys. Not one bit, he is a drama queen and he wants you to think he is playing through an injury.
Hartliner, yes playing football hurts, but McCoy has a flare for the dramatics. I have said since the injury he is not hurt, this goes to the fact that he fakes and is dramatic, that cant be disputed from the video clips I see of McCoy running as if he is coming off bye. This is not the running of a guy with an injury to his leg tissue.

If you dont see a problem with a guys antics who fakes injuries, I dont know what to say to you then.
So you were pretty clear here that shady was not hurt "one bit."

This needs to be investigated by the league. This was dirty and if the injury report is to show clarity and not risk gambling issues, this is the exact thing that messes witht hat.
So sure that he was not AT ALL hurt and faking it that you were calling for a league investigation.

I expect McCoy to have 19 carries for 115 yards with 4 catches for 30 yards, a touch and at least two season ending injuries that he suffers but finishes the game and will play next week too.
And so confident that he was not hurt that you were predicting a very productive performance against MIA.

I believe differently, I believe leaking sources is doing something wrong and if he wasnt truly questionable or even hurt as I am certain he wasnt, this is a problem. That was not an injured player working out this morning.
And your expert testimony after watching some practice video was that it was not an injured player you were watching.

Sorry I have not been back, had other things to worry about, its Thursday now, I can pick it back up. He is 50/50 again this week. He isnt ruled out yet? He did leave in the 3rd quarter, when the game was out of hand, like most quitters and drama queens do. This is what he does, he wants the drama.
More assurance from you that its all about the drama.

I'm still questioning if he is hurt and not faking and this is the result of his poor performance to save face. I will never trust this drama queens injuries.
Still asserting that he was faking, this time to save face in addition to the drama he craves.

You dont like my belief? He has a history, and I will question him. If that doesnt jive with you, so be it.
He has a history of going down like bricks and coming back. I said he would play, he played.
Now, I say he is a faker and taking this to the extreme. You dont have to agree, but this is the type of person Shady is, hence his nickname and his friends who dont like him and talk about him behind his back. They even question him here in NY. But since you have fantasy on the mind, we wont discuss that people close to him are questioning him because you dont want to hear it. This isnt on the Bills for all those quick to judge, they also didnt believe he was TRULY hurt, this is retaliation to them not believing him, so are the rumors.
Five hours after still questioning his "faking" you now have "rumors" that was never truly hurt but acting out of retaliation for not believing in him.

I could have been more forward and say I know someone who I do business with who has direct business dealings here in NY with SHADY himself. They are close, and very personal. Good friends, but his friend cant keep his mouth shut since he likes to show off how close him and McCoy are. But I am also close friends with this guy so he trusts me as well. I know he does not have a hammy, but this is something that is affecting him emotionally and is making him ill in a different regard. Something the Bills also know, why they were not worried about throwing their star player out there. Nothing long term from what I understand, thats why hammy is perfect cover. It would be embarrassing for McCoy if it came to light, thats why this is the cover. He will be back after the bye and will not play against Seattle either. McCoy has not even had an MRI. So if you want to say I'm full of it thats fine. But in this regard, you have no clue what you are talking about. Because you read it on the internet doesnt make it true. Goes to show when we are challenged none of us can keep our mouth shut since I was just guilty of it to defend myself, but I didnt want to be that forward.

In the world of the internet where trying to get inside info is so important, when someone who provides some gets mocked, thats not encouraging. You do not have to take what I say as fact, but its something to consider. You dont have to mock someone for it.

Then less than 2 hours after the "rumors" that you alone have heard about retaliation it suddenly shifts to a personal connection you have to a male friend who is "close, and very personal" with McCoy.  The bolded above though is very true.  And ironically applies to about everything you have posted here.

But again, they are just rumors. I have not seen McCoys package or anything, just know someone who has.
Then two days later we are introduced to HerpesGate with further reference to a friend of McCoy's as a source.

Apparently this close male friend of yours has seen McCoy's package.  Not that there's anything wrong with that but very interesting to say the least.

I would be wise to follow suit of many others who have chosen to ignore all of this but the fact that multiple posters seem to be buying part of this garbage has me feeling compelled to point out the inconsistency and ridiculousness of it all.

Basically, we are to believe that a star NFL player and his team lied to the league, which is a finable offense, to cover up the fact that he had a STD flare up that is so bad that he's potentially missing multiple games.  Ok, I guess.  But this would be a pretty major news story.  NONE of the Bills beat reporters, other NFL reporters, TMZ's of the world have a clue about ANY of this.

But a random poster on a fantasy football board has this information?  And apparently from a male friend who is very close to Shady and has personally seen his package and communicated all of this to you.  You admit that "none of us can keep our mouth shut" when challenged yet there are no leaks of this anywhere other than you?

Your close friend, "who can't keep his mouth shut and likes to show off how close he and Shady are"  trust you, and ONLY YOU, with this information that you are spreading on a relatively well trafficked fantasy football site but again no inklings of this ANYWHERE else in a day and age where we can find random unsubstantiated rumors or conspiracy theories about any number of things.  And again, you yourself admit that when challenged "none of us can keep our mouths shut."  But again, we are to believe that you, and you alone, have this info from your friend.

Star NFL RB covers up herpes, and potential gay relationship with WheelsUp's friend, would seem to be a pretty major headline.  But nobody else has this story but you.........

As I said before, people will believe what they want.  But any of you buying this BS.........well to each their own.

I was half hoping the admins would suspend this guy but I guess I was too optimistic. Not sure how many reported him, but even IF the herpes thing could be potentially true with any NFL player, the timeline on how he has consistently made up false crap about McCoy shows he has no credibility. But he's still on here posting this crap and people are buying it. He needs to be shut down before more people start buying this garbage.

VaTerp...more like VaHerp

Oh, and yeah, that pretty much just tore the whole wheels up ideas to pieces too.
:lmao:  .............Wait a minute, VaHerp?!

But seriously?  I have a real question for @WheelsUp

For 3 weeks now you've posted about your view of McCoy's long standing history of being a drama queen who FAKES injuries- (which understandbly bothers you A LOT)- AND

You posted your belief the LEAGUE SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS latest hamstring injury, AND

Within the last week you now have access to exclusive, detailed info about THIS VERY FAKED INJURY, that McCoy and the Bills are lying to the league about, violating league rules, affecting point spreads, FF, and the American people.  Think about the children!!!

So the question is- WHY ARE YOU NOT ON THE PHONE WITH ROGER GODDELL's OFFICE with this information???  Or getting some $$$$ from some tabloid outlet?

And please don't say you didnt want to compromise your close male friend who has seen Shady's package.  Because if that was the case you wouldnt be sharing it in the manner in which you did on the most popular FF message board on the internet.

TIA for your response.

And to everyone else, my apologies. I will TRY to stick to football going forward though I may have to respond to an answer to my question.

VaTerp, you take this stuff so personally.
I gave you the info I have, which has not been disproven.
I already explained it but your fake "Why dont you just end the convo" but "i secretly want to keep the convo going" nonsense is really whats killing the thread.
I provided info which was provided to me by someone in the know. I shared it, and instead of digesting it or ignoring it and just disagreeing, you wanted to get into a battle.
I am sharing in a McCoy thread info I have on McCoy, you are acting like an upset fanboy because the info I have you dont like.
Cry about it if you like, but info I have, info I will share.
But cry about sticking to football and then not stick to football some more, its not hypocritical at all.

Long term...hoping he sits. i should be able to get by with Forte, Booker, and West/Ware.  want McCoy back for the stretch run.

Nobody is taking anything personally. Several people have pointed out how your stance has changed several times. To be honest I'm surprised that you haven't been suspended by now for this crap. People are genuinely believing this garbage. And it really makes me wonder... what do you get out of this? Do you brag to your "friends" that you spread a false rumor on a FF message board? What's the point? Find something more constructive to do. Because he was faking the injury, then he was mad at the Bills, then it's he has Herpes. You can't stick to a lie. Find something better to do.

LeSean McCoy feels ready to play on Monday night

Bills running back LeSean McCoy sounds like he has little doubt about his ability to return from a hamstring injury and play on Monday night against the Seahawks.

“I feel good,” McCoy said, via the Buffalo News. “Mentally, I feel great. . . . Just getting over that step of, ‘if I make this hard cut, will I feel it?’ I did it today, different runs. So I’m ready to roll.”

McCoy suffered the injury in practice in Week Seven and tried to play through it but managed just eight carries for 11 yards before he re-aggravated it during that week’s game. He sat out Week Eight but now expects to play in Week Nine, especially with the Bills playing on Monday night, giving him one extra day of rest.

“As a competitor, how I am, I want to go out there and play so I won’t regret it. I feel a lot better today than in the past,” he said.

The Bills’ playoff hopes are rapidly slipping away and a third straight loss on Monday night could be a devastating blow. They want their best offensive playmaker at 100 percent for Monday’s crucial game
.

A little less clear when I follow to the link quoted in the PFT article.  Some good Shady quotes though.

http://buffalonews.com/2016/11/03/lesean-mccoy-practices-limited-basis-says-hes-ready-roll/

After a Week Seven loss to the Miami Dolphins, LeSean McCoy said he "wasn't good enough" to play in a game without practicing.

Luckily for the Buffalo Bills, they don't have to worry about that this week.

McCoy practiced Thursday on a limited basis as the Bills began their preparations for what's been called a "must win" Week Nine game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

"I feel good," McCoy said. "Mentally, I feel great. ... Just getting over that step of, ‘if I make this hard cut, will I feel it?’ I did it today, different runs. So I’m ready to roll."

Asked whether that meant he would definitely play against the Seahawks, McCoy dialed it back somewhat when he said "I got some time. Each day at a time I’ll progress and get better and better, so we’ll see later on during the week."

There is no doubt the NFL’s top-ranked rushing attack could use the player primarily responsible for getting there.

“It definitely brings another dynamic to our offense,” quarterback Tyrod Taylor said. “Having a guy like Shady on the field – whether it’s catching out of the backfield or creating plays in the run game – definitely happy to get him back on the field and he looked good today in practice.”

Although the Bills ran the ball well without McCoy last week against New England, they don’t have another player on the roster who comes close to matching his explosiveness. McCoy was playing like an MVP candidate before he got hurt in practice leading up to the Week Seven game in Miami.

“Not really practicing the whole week, it’s hard to really go out there and perform at a high level, but I did all the right tests and I felt good,” he said Thursday of playing against the Dolphins. “As a competitor, how I am, I want to go out there and play so I won’t regret it. I feel a lot better today than in the past.”

Bills coach Rex Ryan doesn’t have a rule about players having to practice to be eligible to play, which basically means that if they’re good enough, they’ll be out there if medically cleared.

That’s certainly the case with McCoy, but he explained Thursday why feels practice reps are necessary.

“Feel the blocks, feel the schemes, the game plan – it’s one thing to watch tape and dissect the team, but it’s another to do that and actually prepare for the defense that you’re going to face,” he said. “It’s not like the physical practicing, knowing exactly where you want to hit the hole at and what to expect. Our scout team does a great job of getting us prepared.”

There is plenty of work to do this week to get ready. The Seahawks’ defense ranks in the top 10 in nearly all the major categories, including: Scoring (second, 15.6 points per game), yards against (sixth, 319.4), rushing yards against per game (seventh, 89.7), average rush against (fourth, 3.4 yards), passing yards against per game (ninth, 230), sacks (third, 22) and passing touchdowns allowed (first, five).

“They play well together from the D-lineman to the secondary,” McCoy said. “You know all the names. … There’s a reason why they’re so highly ranked and always talked about.”

The Bills’ bye week follows the game against Seattle, which means McCoy would have ample time to get healthy if he were to sit out. He said that thought hasn’t crossed his mind, though.

“We got to win this game,” he said. “My main concern is just how I feel each day at practice and getting treatment mentally and physically. That’s what matters most right now. If I can’t go, I can’t go. But right now I feel good and I have a lot more days left until the game.”

There’s also something about the bright lights that McCoy relishes. In eight games on Monday Night Football, he’s scored six touchdowns, including a memorable, 31-carry, 184-yard performance in the 2013 season opener while with the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I think every player wants to show off on prime-time TV,” McCoy said. “We don’t really get a lot of prime-time games so you want to make the best of it. That’s where you get all the Pro Bowl votes.”

McCoy had his tongue planted firmly in his cheek when he said that before turning serious again: “It’s another game that we have to win. I think it helps out that it is on prime time.”
