He didn't play particularly well (scored 0.05 less than Andrew Luck, who I started him over), but he made two quintessential Cutler plays that clinched me my championship.
Went into SNF down 1, with my Cutler vs. his Forte. As the third quarter came to an end, I was nursing a four-point lead. After completing a pass down to the 1-yard line, the Bears line up looking like they're going to have Forte run it in, which would have put my opponent back on top. But Cutler took a delay of game penalty, pushing the ball back five yards. Next play, he throws a TD pass, then tacks on the two-point conversion, putting me up by 10.
A few minutes later, after Forte had racked up a few more points to narrow the gap a bit, Cutler throws a pick-six. While this cut my lead all the way down to 5, it also iced the game for the Eagles, which led to Trestman pulling the starters and securing my win.
So to review: Cutler + delay of game + pick-six = VICTORY!
Now I know why you Bears fans have such a love-hate relationship with the guy.
