Lions vs Packers - Week 2 (1 Viewer)

*Reports of Kerryon's death are greatly exaggerated. At least this early in the year.

*Hock Smash! on his long play.

*Lions lucky with the face mask penalty and a bobbled pass to Jones, but honestly a real strong start.

*Getting carved up by the Packers so far though, of course.

Just gonna enjoy this before the inevitable begins to occur.

Early  season sunshine and no crowd. Can’t be a better time to play at Lambeau tbh and Stafford is battle hardened at this venue by this point

MVS shaken up. CB Harmon was after the ball, but didn't end up with a great angle as MVS' head bounced against Harmon's leg >.>

Up after commercial, but I'm sure he'll be checked for concussion.

Under 90 seconds and at his 1, Stafford decides to hold onto the ball until he's dragged down >.>

And penalty stops clock, so Packers will have about a minute to try for at least a FG.

Lions prevented from another penalty in the final 2 minutes by a TD.

Sorry if Detroit accidentally worried any Packers fans ;).

Through six quarters of football I’m still waiting for Greg Jennings say something remotely insightful or interesting.
Chris Myers: If the Packers take the penalty here that'll be to their advantage and stop the clock.

What?      They just stopped the Lions on 3rd and 16 from the lions goal line making it 4th down, the clock IS stopped, but yea the Packers are going to take that holding penalty.

Just shut them down.

So you can see the talent on the Lions, but you can also see the struggles. Under 2 minutes, and you have a drive where you would've been better kneeling three times followed by Packers having plenty of time and opportunity to pull ahead thanks to penalties. I'm sure Patricia will be all "we were up 14-3, we just need to finish" and remind the media of important plays he might have been on the sideline for 5+ years ago.  It's enough that I can't expect any real changes now (if ever), especially if they can also sell the idea of just needing Golladay and a CB or two back. SOL.

Oh, wait, there's the second half still. Eh, I'll likely just quote myself later on :P.

Adams shown standing on the sidelines with helmet off. Not believed to be anything serious, but this game's well in control, so just FYI.

This is your reminder that that score was 14-3 Lions after 1. Now 34-14 after 3.

Oh, and also to note it's intriguing (if not suprising) to see Swift so involved in the passing game for Detroit.

Hmm. Still 13 minutes left, so not technically garbage time Lions TD.

Hall's a guy to keep an eye on, even if he's currently a bit buried in the depth chart.

If you hire a "defensive guru" as your coach and then - after three seasons - you have the worst D in the league ... is that good?

The question is, with about 6 minutes left... do they pull Rodgers? Or just let him hand off to Williams until the Lions stop it?

Yep said the same to one of my mates. Defence has been sub par since he got here. Just always falls apart. Sad thing is we have a decent OC and a QB in his prime. Wish Bevell had been here during the Caldwell days
