Depends on what you want in a DT.

McCargo will be the better pass rush DT, but Watson will plug the middle and is an ideal 3-4 NT.

I'm real high on Watson. Predicted he could be the best DT in the draft when all is said and done.
 
Oakland picks...Roger McIntosh OLB The U

Outstanding athletic ability...Has great speed and quickness with a burst to close...Can make plays sideline-to-sideline due to his range...Playmaker who is always around the action...Good tackler. Will look nice next to Kirk Morrison and Danny Clark

:eek: Good pick here. Their linebacking corps would be crazy with this addition.The other area of terrible need is o-line. So you had to be thinking that as an option too, right?

:thumbup: I considered him with this pick, and would have to shift Thornton to MLB, which wouldn't be a horrible move IMO.

But, he's gone, so we take our MLB.

Abdul Hodge, Iowa.

Nose for the ball, great instincts, gives the Titans a fearsome LB corps.

Also considered Safety, OL, Watson and Maroney.

Monster guard, road grader type. Need some holes for their talented RB to run behind.

Lions are thrilled he is still on the board!!

It was and with limited time I didn't spend as much time debating the pick as I could have. With the top guards left I decided to go that route and help the running game.Chatman was let go because McCarthy wants big WR's. Moss doesn't exactly fit that, although he would be nice as a return man.

After Marguard was signed, I don't see saftey being as big of a need so I passed on Whitner.

Good reasoning, then. Was there a reason you went Joseph over Jean-Gilles? Personal preference?

Mainly, if Green Bay is going to install more of a zone blocking O-Line, Jean-Gilles might be a little too big and slow for that. Joseph doesn't have the quickest feet either, but I do feel he is more mobil than the other top guards. That's really the only reasoning I used. Pretty plain and didn't spend a whole lot of time thinking about it.I did consider Maroney, but that is more becuase of selfish reasons of me being a huge fan of his and the value of him as an early 2nd is not too bad.

 
It's good to see the two OL I was looking at with the Titans pick go next.

While Watson is better in the 3-4, Justice/Watson would be a great start to the draft.

They've addressed the safety, d-line, and o-line all at least a bit. The value here is too much for them to pass up. In actuality, it's probably not a 3rd, but a 4th rounder involved in the tradeup, but I didn't want to think too hard here.

Dunn is nearing the end (and may get cut) and Duckett just isn't panning out.

2.43 - Laurence Maroney

The Falcons aren't that far away and need to shore up this area of the roster the most.

Cleveland gets a steal here....imoPick 43= 470 points

for

Pick 47= 430 points

Pick 93= 128 points

Cleveland has multiple needs and decent talent still on the board.

THe extra 3rd too much to pass up on.

While I'm holding out hope for Duckett, in another system, this is a pretty good pick.I would prefer to see Atlanta package Duckett and a pick to move up, but this is good.

I'm pretty sure that Atlanta wouldn't give a 3rd, but like I said, it was the easiest to deal with. I could see both Baltimore and Philadelphia taking Maroney, so I felt the need to trade up.
 
Good pick for the falcons. You gave up a lot but having two third rounders helps. Maroney's the guy I though you wanted when you looked to move up. I think he's a bit of a system back, but great value at this point in the draft.

He's better than people are giving him credit for, that's for sure.The big reason he had a down year was a bad ankle and TERRIBLE overuse by his college coach who was in the hotseat.

Look at the stretch in the middle of the season. He rushed 46, 16, 36, and 43 times in a four week stretch. The guy's a stud and getting him in the mid 2nd is crazy.

I agree that he is well worth it at this point in the draft. I just worry about RBs that come from schools that seem to always have a productive RB. His back-up, who's name escapes me right now, had over 1,100 yards and more than 6 per carry.

Gary Russell. It's sad, the kid's not even on the Gophers roster now due to academic problems.Marion Barber III shared a backfield with Maroney and he did very well for the Cowboys last year. They're both just that good, IMO.

They grab a playmaking safety to replace Will Demps.

I alos looked at DB for reasons I previously posted, and Offensive Line.

And finally I considerd Moss, as his punt return skills would lessen the load on Westbrook.

I don't know. Trent Cole played pretty well the 2nd half of the season last year. :shrug:

Maybe it's not a legit comparison.But think about the last time Philly picked a front-7 guy from B.C.

Seriously I like Kiwi and I've seen him play alot, but when I saw the pick was by Philly I was just reminded of my man MIKE MAMULAAAAA
