Loaning a chick money 9/9/16 - Bye (1 Viewer)

Guy we get it, you wear Colehaans, have a bunch of chicks working for you, and they walk around naked...

Can we get to the sechs?

Also, can we start timestamping these updates? When did you hire Keara?

Relax everyone, while Ron is slow playing this I'm sure the payoff will be great.  The guy has't let us down yet through 160+ pages. Okay, there was the one update where we found out he had herpes but then we found out that Ron has the absolute best ####### strain of herpes so all is well that ends well.

I have full confidence that the next update has Ice pissing all over this battered whore from Jacksonville and Ron going full James Spader on this Maggie Gyellenhaal.

So, the first few times Ice would take her clothes off randomly in front of people, I was always amazed and doubtful.

By now, I'm reading the latest installation, and when Ice pulls off the maneuver in front of the new girl, i simply say to myself "yep, that's just Ice being Ice".

Nothing like a little breaking of the Ice. I'm really getting to like this lady.

Is this really that big of a deal?  It's a typo, obviously.
Its not as bad as Angie riding a high horse... very against type.

This whole story from the beginning is about her journey, right?  The chick you loaned 3 racks to.  Probably ends in a few years with her as a CEO of your competitor.  She's shifted, but you never explained why or how.

A good editor would've pointed that out.  The beagle thing was just me funnin.

My wife did the same "shift" many years ago.  Give any woman money/stability and they change.  Didn't think that needed to be explained.

Too much nitpicking from some of you.

Keep up the good work, Ron.

Also, I'm really slow at work so if you could do the next installment this morning I would really appreciate it.

Later that Saturday afternoon, I drop my daughter off and catch up with Angie at my house (my home where my daughter lives, not my condo).

Me: “Hey Angie, how are things going with Keara?”

Angie: “Fine, I have her running some errands today”

Me: “For work?”
Angie: “Just stuff”

Me:  “Angie, I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear on this but I only want her doing things for the company.”

Angie: “Well it was just a few things I would normally do”

Me: “Keara isn’t paid to work on the weekends and run errands for you”.

Angie (with a, ‘what’s the big deal face’) “Okay, I’m sorry.  I just figured since she’s there she could do some things so I didn’t have to drive all the way out there today.”

Me:  Plan your week better so you don’t have to drive out there on the weekend or ask Keara to do things outside of work.  Thanks (the ‘thanks’ is a ‘and that’s final, not open for discussion’ kind of ‘thanks’).”  - Angie has gotten my ‘thanks’ tone before, she instantly goes completely placid in the face and simply says, Okay.

Angie isn’t great at managing her own time but she gets things done in her own way.  This is also Angie’s first time ever managing someone else so shame on me for just expecting Angie do a great job right away.  I recognize it’s not a typical situation so I’ll temper my frustration.

I hung out at my house, cooked and ate dinner with my Wife, Angie and Daughter.  Wife and I are on much better terms these days; we’re both still happy not to be in each other’s hair.  It’s about 7pm so I said goodnight to the girls and headed back to my condo.  When I get back to my condo, Keara is making herself at home on my couch, watching TV and messing around on her laptop.

Me: “I hope you’re not working”

Keara: “No, just looking at stuff on Facebook”

Me: “Did you get out today at all?”

Keara: “Yeah, went to the mall this afternoon after getting the stuff done for Angie then came back here a little while ago”

Me: “Did you eat?”

Keara: “Yeah, I just grabbed food on the way back here”

Me: “Well there’s always food here, help yourself to anything in the kitchen, drinks or whatever”.

Keara: “I might after a drink later, you?”

Me: “I’m not drinking tonight; I’m meeting a friend for a charity 5k tomorrow.  I need to finish near the front to spend more time shaking hands and kissing babies (she reacted like she never heard that saying)”.

Keara: “Oh cool, I haven’t run much since high school. I use to do cross country.

Me: “Do you want to come with us?  If you slow me down, I will leave you behind though (laughing)”

Keara: “Yeah that would be awesome but I really don’t have running gear”.

Me: “Let’s hit ****’s before they close.”

We go shopping, she gets her stuff for tomorrow then head back to my place for an early bed time.  .  I wake up early; breakfast are bagels w/cream cheese, coffee and lots of water.  We can get there a little early to make a donation and can get Keara number. We’re still a bit early when I get a text, “Meet me at my company’s booth”.  Keara follows as I’m walking around looking for the booth, “it’s this way, come on” I say to Keara.  We walk over and I do the introduction:

Ice: “Hey Ron, who’s your friend?”

Me: “This is Keara, she joined the company a few weeks ago.  Keara, this is my friend Ice”

Ice and I talk shop and exchange notes for a bit as we’re currently both supporting the same customer.  Time goes by and she refocuses her attention to Keara:

Ice: “Oh, so is this the new Angie?”

Me:    She works with Angie

Ice: “So, where did you go to college?”

Just as Ice starts peppering Keara with questions, the opening whistle blows for us to get ready.  We walk over to the group of about 50 runners; it’s a “private event” (which always made me laugh because it’s outside, there’s really nothing stopping any random person from joining the race).  Ice starts with her attempts at humor pointing out defibrillator stations and asking Keara if she’s trained on CPR, etc.  Ice and I run a lot together so she knows I’m fine; I typically run at her 5 o’clock; Keara keeps pace and runs at my 5.  We could honestly blow by most of the people running today but there are some heavyweights that I’d like to get a little closer to so we keep mid-front of the pack not to make a spectacle.   On the last mile, the pack thinned out a bit more and we finished in the top 20.

Keara and I look like we could do another 3 miles but Ice is looking winded:

Me: “You okay?”

Ice: “I’m fine, stayed out too late last night”.

Me: “ah, gotcha”

I mingled for a bit, thank the organizers for the invitation and passed out business cards to others.

Me: “Ice, what are you up to for the rest of the day?”

Ice: “I need a Gatorade and vodka right about now.”

Me:   “We’re going to get showered up and maybe grab some brunch, you’re welcomed to come”

Ice: “Okay, I’ll meet you at your place”

It’s about noon or so by now.  We meet up at my place; I’m in the kitchen pouring everyone Gatorade.  Ice pounds the Gatorade, then another while standing still dripping with sweat.  She then proceeds to take her clothes off, in the kitchen, leaving them on the floor and walk naked to through the living room to the shower in my room.   Keara looks at me with a confused, “oh, I see it’s like that”, look.  I   and say “that’s Ice”.  Keara heads to the guest room and I go to my room to join Ice in the shower (it was just a shower).  Ice gets out of the shower and struts naked to the 3rd bedroom looking for clothes (Ice manages to leave several outfits at my place year-round; I keep her stuff in the 3rd bedroom that usually goes unused).

We all get in my car and head to brunch; while we’re driving:

Ice: “What are those? (looking at my shoes)”

Me: “pecan color Cole Haan’s, trying them with the jeans and polo shirt look”

Ice: “It’s a bit preppy for you”

Me: “Don’t like it?”

Ice: “No, looks fine.”

Keara: (speaking up from the back seat) “Are you two dating?”

Ice and I: (in sync) “NO!!!”…Ice goes on

Ice: “Dear God no, I don’t date boys (smiling devilishly at Keara – Keara clearly uncomfortable now).

We get to brunch:  “Party of 3?”

For someone very focused on quality and style you definately need to upgrade your shoes.  Cole Haan stopped making good quality shoes a decade ago.

There's nothing wrong with Cole Haan for casual dress shoes IMO.
They look nice but they are made very poorly.  They used to make very high quality shoes but they haven't done in years a.  While not as bad as Kenneth Cole shoes they are low quality selling on name.

Only one way to solve this....FBG Fashion Show

Yes, Party of 3.

The hostess tells us it will be 10 or 15 minutes to get our table ready.  I say, “no problem”, meanwhile Ice darts off to the bar:

Keara: “Geez, is she always like this?”

Me: “Like what?, a crazy person?”

Keara: “Well that too but no, drinking so much”

Me: “She’s just going for a drink – I don’t see the big deal”

Keara: “She just drank a bunch on the way here”

Me:    What?

Keara: “Yeah, while you were getting ready, she was pouring liquor from that skull bottle in your kitchen into a Gatorade bottle.  The one she was drinking on the way here”.

Me: “I didn’t notice and no, I don’t really know her as a day-drinker.  She must have had a rough night”.

The hostess comes up to us minutes later and says our table is ready.  Keara and I sit down, Ice joins us as the waiter walks up and asks if we’d like something to drink.

Me: “Arnold Palmer and a separate glass of ice water please”

Keasa: “Coffee and ice water”

Ice: “I’m fine for now but I’ll need another one of these soon”.

Waiter walks off.

Me: “Rough night?”

Ice: “Rough few weeks – I’ve been supporting (overseas client) and my sleep time is all screwed up.  2am stand-up calls, 3am conference calls, 5am follow up calls etc.   I have jet lag without going anywhere.

Me: “Yeah, that sucks”.

We order - I go with the spinach eggs Benedict, Keara gets just a cheese omelet and Ice gets egg whites with potatoes and toast.  Food comes, Ice is on her 2nd or 3rd drink by now but starting to look like she’s feeling better.  We shoot the breeze for a while nothing substantial just Keara talking more about where she grew up and coming here with her ex-boyfriend.  Ice leaning in and agreeing with her while taking every opportunity to bash men.

We leave the restaurant and Ice is looking woozy.   We get to my car and she lays down in the back seat.  Keara sits up front and I drive back to my condo; I carried Ice into my place and put her in guest room for a nap.  I had nothing to do but also didn’t want to sit in the house all afternoon.  I decided on what better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon but in a casino; I invited Keara to join me.  Maryland Live is a little closer but I like Charles Town better; Maryland Live can be seedy some days and Charles Town is a more scenic drive through the Shenandoah.

While we’re driving:

Keara: “It’s amazing how this went from a city drive to what feels like the country in minutes.”

Me: “Yeah, it’s mostly horse country west of Loudoun county to West Virginia.”

Keara: “It’s beautiful”

Me:  “I like it out here but I could never live out here”

Keara: “I could in a heartbeat”

Me:  “Lot of people do but if you work in the city, it’s an hour and a half to two hours each way to work with traffic but plenty of people do it.

Keara: “That’s just insane”

Me:  “I know a lot of people do it; they have 3-4 kids and want to have a big yard.  You either need a lot of money or be willing to spend 3 hours+ a day in the car here.”

I pull up to the casino and valet the car.  I show Keara around a bit then gave her a few hundred as we sat on a 3-card poker table.  She knows poker a little and 3-card is an easy game for beginners; it’s also a lot less intimidating then a craps table and the gamblers aren’t as serious as they are at a blackjack table (for obvious reasons).  Keara’s beginner’s luck pays off early as she hits trips twice in less than 10 or so hands.   I’m ‘kissing my sister’ breaking even most of the time but down because I’m tipping on the few wins I do get.

It’s after 6pm, Keara and I are getting hungry.  The restaurant selection in Charles Town is pretty thin; there’s an over-priced steakhouse that’s just okay.  I told her we could do way better heading back to the city.  We stopped on the way back at Magnolias just on the VA side for some dinner and wine.  Keara had the seared tuna salad, I had the salmon; wine was a bottle of Philo Ridge pinot noir.  It’s after 9pm by the time we made it back to Alexandria.   Tomorrow is a holiday so no need to rush home; we decided to take another stop before heading in so I took her to Old Town to bar hop a bit and check out some live music.

It’s late, after 1am – Keara and I head back to my condo.  As I step off the elevator, I hear loud music coming from my place.  I guess Ice is awake…

Love three card poker. I like looking at one card, and if it's a Q/K/A I just play it without looking at the other two cards.
