There was a lot of complaining last year that articles and projections were coming out late. It was suggested that FBG cut back on the "fluff" and stick to the good stuff and get it out on time.Well now I am sitting here looking at the subscription page and the latest things there are projections and rankings from 8/30, and the same projections and rankings resorted on 8/31.Complaining on the MB prolly isn't the right thing to do, but as a paying customer for years I don't feel too bad.Where is all the good stuff?

I don't know - Any stuff.

One thing I always thought would be cool but never saw would be a "Week 1 Player Projection" grid posted. This would have the top 32 QB's top 32 RB's and Top 64 WR's projected fantasy points for Week 1. I should say I've never seen a grid like that posted more than a couple days prior to 1st game of the week. Why not post a projection grid for , say, 3 weeks out and just revise it until day before the 1st game of the week?

I got yesterday's email update today at 9:47 am.

Cunning Linguist,I know it isn't PAID content, but a lot of us Goons work our tails off trying to get currently player information into the News Blogger on a daily basis between 8am and 2am. Also, Joe & Company spend hours preparing those daily email updates....sifting through dozens (hundreds?) of news stories along with adding in their own $0.02 as to what the news means for FFLers.Personally, I wish there was more content in areas such as auction strategies, dynasty, etc. However, I think the Draft Dominator is worth the $24.95 alone, not to mention those Training Camp reports, player projections and several of the strategy articles!I guess it is probably one of those situations where FBGs cannot be all things to all people without watering down their services in other areas. I'm a small business owner, and one of the Golden Rules of starting your own business is this:IF YOU TRY TO DO EVERYTHING, YOU WON'T BE GOOD AT ANYTHING.Specialization is key to survival and product quality over the long term. That would then beg the question: What are FBGs "core competencies" or "specialties"? We all have our opinions as to answering that question, but I would personally argue that FBGs offers a TON of value for that $24.95 subscription price! What "Good Stuff" are you looking for?! Just curious......

I don't know what I want, but I want it NOW!!!! :lmao:

what happened in the last 4 days to warrant stat and rank changes?its the 4th preseason game, starters play , what , 2 series?this is the problem with amateurs, dont tweak things just for the sake of tweaking them.

Just curious about when the weekly projections will be out?
are you serious? you need FBGs to tell you who to start each week?if you cant make an educated decision on what YOU think will happen, why play?

if your team wins, what will you say "whoo hooo, FBGs projections picked the right starters for me?"

Garcia is gone; this affects Rogers, both Williams WR's, and Kevin Jones. Mike Anderson is obviously the starter: Dayne ran just as well as Bell. Not great news but important news none the less.

This is not a complaint, but rather a question. I always see it refered to as the "email update later tonight" but I ALWAYS get my email update between 6am-9am PST.Why is this?

Not who to start each week, just who to pick up and start at TE week 1 as I only have Gates. But thanks anyway PA.

steveie wonder could see than anderson would be the starter in denver. jeff garcia's injury doesnt change the stat projections/rankings of the det wrs or the rb. if you are tweaking projections/rankings based on injuries to backups, there is probably a good chance that you have an economy size jar of vasoline next to your cheat shhetsif any starting qb goes down, the backup likely wont be as good.

You guys wait around for the updates? When one pops in my mailbox, I think "cool." Makes no difference when the things come. I didn't even realize that they were supposed to come at a certain time or anything. The rankings and the team pages are pretty good in my book

 In the upcoming days Week 1 starters are solidified, rosters are cut down. Rankings should be updated accordingly.

FBG's realize this, and will provide the services accordingly. Just have some patience, if these guys run a little behind it's not due to lack of effort. Based on past experience, I have no doubt the content will be updated. :)

The updates are supposed to come at a certain time? I seem to get the daily update, plus the ad hoc updates, throughout the day sometime. I love it like this, it's like a little jewel of info that just pops in my Inbox magically. :nerd:

Looks like you have everything under control.

Hey CunningL,The pre-season finale is such a worthless game, as most starters don't play at all, while the few starters that do play are playing against fast food cooks. So there is very little need to adjust anything, especially with the confidence we have in the present rankings. However, as today is the last (massive) cut day, we will be adjusting a ton of players in the database over the next several hours.

And you are correct, as the proper way to communicate your dissatisfaction with Footballguys is to PM or Email Joe or David.

These guys are extremely, crazy busy, so I really hope people will excersize a little patience, as I personally would MUCH rather they concentrate on getting this weeks material out, rather than spending much of thier time answering complaints.

Good Luck this season!

RW
