Looting in Missouri after cops shoot 18 year old (5 Viewers)

here's a sentence I never thought I would read, talking about the Governor.

He says the National Guard will be under the direction of the Highway Patrol, which he put in charge of overseeing protests.

CNN currently has someone talking logic as far as the eye and head shots. That logic points to Wilson's story being correct.
WIlson doesn't have a story that has been released. How do you know what his story is?
If you haven't heard the friend tell it on the radio, you'll hear it soon enough.

Garagos on CNN. That guy is a flat out moron.

Addictinginfo and DailyKos now reporting that the video shows him paying for the cigars. And the store owner says through an attorney he didn't call the police or offer the video. That's odd.
I remember reading that the clerks (owner was the one man handled) were gone for next two weeks.

There is no reason to believe that person is a friend. It is a completely unknown source to everyone including the talk show host.

If that's the case, the whole police department deserves to go bankrupt and have to hold bake sales for handcuffs. I'd almost wish we were one of the European countries that has criminal penalties for libel. That video was released for one main reason, to sway people like myself who were on the fence.

As long as the truth comes out the looters will stay away from retaliating against the owner of...oh wait, nevermind

From the first time I saw the video, I assumed the guy manhandled in the video was the owner. Maybe a different story now.

Were they just supposed to do their own thing without coordinating with the guys who've been running the show?
I'm not criticizing the decision. Just never thought I would see the highway patrol directing the national guard.

The National Guard is a state militia and answers to the governor of their respective state.

The video in the link shows him stealing from the counter. If there's another video of him paying it's not in there.

Yeah, I have no idea what that video shows if it isn't theft.

Ponch and John would kick ### directing the national guard! Can you imagine the cool slow motion shots they could produce with the right weapons?

CNN reporting "news" in the form of a caller calling into a St. Louis radio station.

According to the account on St. Louis radio station KFTK, phoned in by a woman who identified herself as "Josie," the altercation on August 9 began after Officer Darren Wilson rolled down his window to tell Brown and a friend to stop walking in the street.

When Wilson tried to get out of his cruiser, Brown first tried to push the officer back into the car, then punched him in the face and grabbed for his gun before breaking free after the gun went off once, the caller said.

Wilson pursued Brown and his friend, ordering them to freeze, according to the account. When they turned around, Brown began taunting Wilson, saying he would not arrest them, then ran at the officer at full speed, the caller said.

Wilson then began shooting. The final shot was to Brown's forehead, and the teenager fell two or three feet in front of Wilson, said the caller, who identified herself as the officer's friend.

A source with detailed knowledge of the investigation later told CNN the caller's account is "accurate," in that it matches what Wilson has told investigators.
"Josie" also reported that Sam Bradford is in a make-it-or-break-it season.

So this is actually the officers version of what happened.

since you are the national guard expert, how many times in history has the national guard been overseen by the Highway Patrol?

Will sending Eric Holden be the shark move?

Holder gave a speech on race relations on February 18, 2009, in the midst of Black History Month. "Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot in things racial, we have always been, and we, I believe, continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," said Holder. "Though race-related issues continue to occupy a significant portion of our political discussion, and though there remain many unresolved racial issues in this nation, we, average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about things racial," he said. The speech stirred some controversy, with some reacting favorably to Holder's comments and others sharply criticizing them. Obama later clarified Holder's comments, saying that “I think it's fair to say that if I had been advising my attorney general, we would have used different language.... I think the point that he was making is that we're oftentimes uncomfortable with talking about race until there's some sort of racial flare-up or conflict, and that we could probably be more constructive in facing up to the painful legacy of slavery and Jim Crow and discrimination."

Nope. If you, as a lawyer, can't understand the significance of who made the call, then my suggestion that you are a terrible lawyer holds true.

Stick to what you know: porn.

Loser.

You're right, I haven't figured out why you think it's significant.

It's significant because maybe the store owner was in on it... An inside job. You ever think of that? No, you jump to the conclusion that just because someone may have robbed a convenience store he's a criminal. Where'd you go to law school? A community college? Geeze.

Maybe I missed something significant here, but how the hell did we get here? Now the store owner is plotting an inside job for a box of cigars?

And, I don't claim to be a lawyer type, so don't expect to much legal expertise from me.

For all we know, this could be the very reason Lutherman thinks it's significant.

Hard to tell since he won't fill us in.

That CNN call from the friend was simply chilling if it is true. You sill would feel terrible for the parents here but it sounds like this young man was not exactly acting like a model citizen at the time or just prior to this incident unfolding.

What a mess.

This is hilarious. No one from the store called 911 about a robbery. A customer called 911.

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – The surveillance tapes allegedly showing Michael Brown robbing a Ferguson market. Friday, for the first time, the owners are speaking out through an attorney about the surveillance video.

The owner of the store dispute the claim that they or an employee called 911, saying a customer inside the store made the call. They also say St. Louis County issues the warrants for the hard drive of surveillance video Friday.

When asked how Ferguson police ended up with the video that the Ferguson police chief issued Friday morning. The attorney said during the course of Ferguson’s investigation they came to the store and asked to review the tape. But it wasn’t until Friday that St. Louis County investigators issued a warrant for the video many of you have already seen.

The attorney for the owners of the store says the owners do not wish to be wrapped up in the middle of this. They are simply complying with police orders and again the attorney wanted to emphasize the 911 call did not come from the owners or an employee.

The attorney says this market has been in the community for a long time and they hope to continue serving this community.

If this is the story as Cooper reported that turns out to be the same as the cop, I can't see any way they would be able to charge him with a thing. It's sad but I will say based on the chief of police nothing will shock me here.

OK so the Owner of the store doesn't want to be involved. He didn't call 911. Fine. All I would like him to do is answer one VERY SIMPLE question:

"Were you robbed by Michael Brown, as the video seems to show? Yes or no?"

How hard is that to answer???

the woman who told that version got that story from the wife of the cop who shot Brown....''allegedly ''

This woman watched the whole shooting...she didnt hear it 3rd hand
