Looting in Missouri after cops shoot 18 year old (5 Viewers)

If a white person on a bus sings a racist song about violence against a black person the nation is in an uproar. If a black person on a train actually commits racist acts of violence against a white person the nation looks the other way/makes excuses.

I don't understand this. Maybe some of the SJW crew here can explain it to me like I'm a privileged 5 year old.
Maybe their employer or college dean will see this video and they will get fired or kicked out of school.

Not sure if this was talked about yet, but lots of talk here in the northeast about the Boston cop shot in the face the other day during a routine traffic stop in Roxbury. Locals turn on the cops. Video is despicable. The Aftican American who was baiting the cop is apparently a Harvard student who was part of the Ferguson protests.
Officer is shot in the face by a dirt bag criminal and members of the crowd complain about how the shooter was treated....Typical.

Where is the outrage...Hands Up Don't Shoot!

It's a great way to destroy a movement. The guy baiting the cop in this video is getting excoriated on talk radio. His 15 minutes of fame is more like 15 minutes of infamy. Meanwhile the cop is being lauded by everyone for his professionalism in the face of some pretty rotten treatment.

No hate crime charges for the POS black guys that attack a white guy (not enough evidence :lmao: )but there are hate crime charges for the POS white guy that did the same thing to a black guy.

Link

Oh and two guys that are members of the not at all racist and awful New Black Panthers were planning on blowing people up.

Link

ETA

The rest of the story

I'm glad me and my family weren't inconvenienced by these guys. Thanks FBI!

Holy crap....another cop murders a black guy.

NSFW video.

At least they're prosecuting the cop, but jesus christ. Can't wait to see the defenders on this one?
I see why he started running away. He was going to jail if he stuck around. At the time, Scott was wanted for arrest on a Family Court warrant, Charleston County sheriff’s Maj. Eric Watson said Tuesday.
 That does deserve the death penalty.

No way that is routine!! You guys all hate cops!! Cops have hard jobs!!! And very little education!! And they get guns!! And they are mostly good!1 And...and...and....

Yeah, that really justifies the action. Good point!!

Glad that was on tape and now the Officer will face the music.

I guess I don't get your defenders comment. I don't think there has been one person in this thread that has said the police are 100% right all the time.

There are a lot of serious badge lickers around here.

And let's please not pretend that if that video didnt exist that police officer would get anything other than a commendation.

Should the cop have shot? No.

Should the cop be prosecuted? Yes.

Was lethal force justified against a fleeing non-felon? No.

Should the cop do time? Yes.

That being said, Scott is likely still alive if he doesn't flee and he doesn't resist.

When people flee and resist, the likelihood of a bad outcome skyrockets.

Can we tell officers not to pursue?

So you think he's shot other people? And the guy he shot apparently grabbed his taser. The cop needs to prosecuted big time but stop with the shooting a dog comments.

really? he was 30 feet away and moving fast...in the other direction...who shoots people in the back ? killers and cowards...and his demeanor after the shooting screams no remorse ...like if he killed a stray dog

Wow, that hits surprisingly close to home as I grew up very close to here. I actually had my first job right around the corner from there.

North Charleston has made great progress over the last few years with regards to crime; it used to frequently show up as one of the more dangerous cities per capita.

Good that the officer is being prosecuted, but that wouldn't have happened without the cameraman. Really just another very strong argument in favor of body cameras on police officers.

Just horrible. On April 4th no less. This one should be an open and shut case of police brutality and cold blooded murder.

Time for chest cameras on every cop.

Agreed!

Never fails. :lmao:
No one is defending the cop. He deserves to be prosecuted.
Would you support the death penalty?
So you seriously think this cop should die?
if i got into a scuffle with this same guy and he ran from me and i pulled a gun ...aimed carefully ...and let loose 8 bullets killing him in cold blood ...i would get the death penalty ...why does a cop get a pass?

Let's not forget planting/manipulating evidence.

What? Why would YOU get the death penalty?

and the entire event unfolded on video for the world to see ...so no way he can deny the facts

God ‏@TheTweetOfGod ·

The first step to recovering from repeatedly shooting unarmed black people is admitting you're repeatedly shooting unarmed black people.

because in no way was this a self defense shooting...he had plenty of time to decide he didnt have to shoot that guy...he had other options so thats borderline premeditated murder ..if this state has the death penalty than its for crimes like this

Premeditated murder is the crime of wrongfully and intentionally causing the death of another human being (also known as murder) after rationally considering the timing or method of doing so, in order to either increase the likelihood of success, or to evade detection or apprehension.

Yeah if you are being tasered or beat up or put in an illegal chokehold, you should just lay there and take it...since that always ends well too.

Sigh.

Scott's passenger stayed with the vehicle and is still alive.

No physical force was used with Garner until he refused to comply.

It's amazing to me that the statement "resisting arrest or fleeing is more likely to end badly than complying" is considered incendiary around here.

Which one of you bastards want to defend this guy?!?! Wait... What? No one? Well... What if I conflate this with unrelated situations and throw in some hypotheticals? Now who wants to argue with me! I need someone to step up already so I can belittle them and feel morally superior!

Because it's common sense. Everyone knows that. When you bring up a point like that after an event like this it comes across as shifting the blame to the victim.

people will find a way to justify or find cause for cops shooting people ....no matter how blatently wrong it was

So, there's one city in the US where it's actually illegal for cops to just shoot black guys on a whim... and it's Charleston, SC? Man, I did not see that coming.

That is horrible. Good to hear the cop is being prosecuted and he should pay for that. Adding to the suck factor of this event is the speed with which the media jumped on the chance to point out the victim is black and the cop white. How about a headline that reads "Cop unnecessarily shoots fleeing man several times killing him" and then provide a factual account of what happened? Hastily adding black or white to the headline on these stories does nothing but cause further distrust and animosity which divides people.

A horribly disappointing event made even worse by the way it was reported, IMO.

i think it's bullets, not headlines, that cause segments of the population to distrust police, and authority.

Seems like Officer Slager is in line for the death penalty, no? I mean we know for certain that he murdered Mr. Scott, so in your mind justice should be swift and final - time to get rid of scum like Officer Slager. Right?
