LT vs. Turner In Week 13 (1 Viewer)

As luck (or perhaps design) would have it, the Falcons face the Chargers this coming weekend.

Should be very interesting - Turner has obviously been the one putting up numbers we're used to with LT, yet one has to think that if there is one game that LT will be pumped for, it's this one. Same for Turner, obviously. Both teams fighting for their playoff lives and wanting to outshine their former teammates.

Thoughts on how the matchup turns out?

It will be interesting to see if the loss to Indy broke SD's will.

Normally, I would expect this to be a slow day for Turner, but SD may check out starting the inevitable Norv countdown...

I'm thinking the same, although thanks to Denver's struggles and very tough matchup at the Meadowlands this week, the Chargers are still in the hunt. Whether they (including LT) come out with that attitude remains to be seen, of course.

NFL.com says:Car @GB 1:05 start time

NO @TB 1:05pm start time

Atl @SD 4:05pm start time

Den @NYJ 4:15pm start time (I'm actually surprised this is a late game since this is an East Coast game)

Altanta will know their fate before they start their game, but SD won't.

SD may come out to play and feel that the ATL GAME is the last straw.

.......or I could see SD trying to come out and give Atl a good game........but if Atl goes up early, I could see SD players mailing it in in the 2nd half.

Probably a bit too early for teams to be truly scoreboard watching, but no matter how you slice it, it's an enormous game for both teams.

What do you mean about Atlanta knowing their fate? They're still in the division and wildcard race no matter what happens in those games.

Maybe he just meant their fate for that week? If CAR and TB lose, we're back to a 3 way tie, with TB in the lead.Edit to correct myself. We _could_ be in a tie if we win vs SD.

San Diego is not out of it by any means. 2 games behind the Broncos and they play each other in San Diego the last game of the season.

This week,

Turner - 110, 2 TD's

Tomlinson - 86 yds rushing, 35 receiving, 2 TD

Chargers win 31-27

Injury concerns, horrible offensive line play, and a defense that has barely shown up for even a down this year gives The Burner a decided advantage.

If so, that's a prediction for one fun contest. Personally, I just have a feeling turner is going to go nuts (continue to) and have my doubts that LT will finally kick it in here. ... The student has become the master. ATL 27 SD 23

I don't think they have a let down this week since they can still finish 5-0 and win the division.

I think San Diego will keep a line backer following Turner everywhere he goes, still he should produce 90-100 and 1 td. I think Ryan and the passing game will shine. I also think Rivers and the Charger passing game will have a good day. Falcons 34, Chargers 31.

I think Burner should put up close to 100 and a score, but I also think the Chargers surprise a few and win this one in something of a blowout. Just a hunch.
