The people saying she is too "thick" were proven wrong last night. In the intro to the skiing event, they showed her walking through an airport in tight jeans and a sweater. Nothing thick at all about that.
yep, saw that and bumped her up a notch...definitely not petite, but not thick either...at least not in that shot.

She does look good, but she is also one of those types who when she is not in shape can explode.
:thumbup:I mean, I know you are not trashing her, but statements like this are just hilarious coming from couch potato Americans. We're talking about world class athletes here. "when she is not in shape"

I think he's talking about when she's 40 or so

I'm just under 6' and @ 160lbs I was anything but fat. :tfp:

She is diesel right now. I could see how she might blow up down the road a bit... but this is now, that is then!

8.5-9.0

edited to add that those posting 5 and below are :( to say the least... :(

I laugh at the couch potatoes on here worrying about her ballooning up or whatever. She's better looking than 99% of what any of you have right now or could ever get. You'd need to call time for gatorade. This chick would damn near kill any of you guys for stamina. But stay up on your high horses if that is what gets you through the day. :(

How tall is she ? Nobody will tell me this... :(

A girl at 160 and a guy at 160 is night and day, apples to oranges. Vonn is not fat, but 160 is still a good bit of weight for a woman(even at 5'10"), and I would guess she has nowhere to go but up.

She's an Olympic skier. I don't really see her giving up skiing at any point in her life. Obviously she won't maintain the same level of competition, but I highly doubt she would ever let herself go. She has proven to have an active lifestyle. Plus she probably loses some weight when she's not training at such a high level because her muscle mass would decrease. I think she looks great.

All this weight talk is BS. So she weighs 160...as mentioned earlier, she's 5'10", and has way more muscle than the average girl. I think she's pretty in a non-model way. If she wasn't a skiier/celebrity, I'd probably say she's a solid 7. I think there's many girls hotter, but I think those of you saying you'd kick her out of your bed because she's too "big" are full of yourselves.

She's got curves. I think real women should have curves. These 100 lb stick girls aren't any fun. You know how you make something look bigger? Hold it up next to something smaller...
Well that gets to the heart of the problem now, doesn't it?

Canadian analyst who's been covering skiing over 25 years now said that Vonn's run was spectacular -- probably the best he's ever seen.

I missed it, and work is blocking nbcolympics.com videos, and youtube doesn't have it. Anyone else know where a vid of her run can be found?

I'm trying to say that perhaps guys who only want to get with tiny girls are trying to compensate by making something else look bigger...you know...in the sack...and I'm trying to say it without saying it or getting banned.

Can't help ya there, but just watched Vonn destroy another run here, beating Mancuso's time by .80...ridiculous.

She was flying down the slope yesterday. It was an odd balance - she looked completely in control despite the fact that the sheer appearance of speed / gravity made it look inevitable that she would fall.

I must have missed the part where we were imagining settling down with Vonn and raising a family. Thought we were just rating her hotness. :bag:

Just say it. Say "wang." You can do it. It's liberating. You don't even have to type it out. Just quote me.Those of you calling her fat, are probably doing so because you have tiny, little, emaciated wangs.

I'm not skiing expert, but it was definitely stronger looking than her competitors' runs, and that was on a very difficult course that was furthermore icy and bumpy. She looked in control the entire way on a course on which some other elite competitors had some horrible wipe-outs, and like the commentators said it wasn't even a perfect run and she still won pretty handily. And she also did this with a badly bruised shin. Also, I think she knew she'd won it based upon the way she celebrated at the bottom of her run despite there being some good additional skiers to go.

Did you catch how she was even "unweighting" her bad downhill ski at times? And still dominated.

She did not know she won, but she did know she medalled, and that was her main goal for the condition she was in. She just put up the best time by a good margin, so it had to feel really good.

I thought the NBC analysis was pretty interesting. She kept pointing out minor errors in the line she was taking (because she compensating for the injury) - and she is so much better than everyone else, it just didn't matter. I've been a recreational skier for 40 years but honestly have no clue what is the difference maker at her level. You watch Shaun White go 5-6 feet higher and its pretty obvs he is on a whole different level. You feel the same way with Vonn. She has, what, something like 9 WC titles this year. She has been one of the most dominant skiers of all-time the last few years, so it was great to see her put up a great run. Big time hype, and she lived up to it.

Oh, well. Failed in the super-combined. Gotta drop her a few point now. Maybe if she wasn't so fat she would have won.

Thanks for including the spoiler alert with this! What do you think this is, the 1980's when you could watch sporting events live?

Sorry dude, I didn't have the spelling of her name implanted in my head at time of posting. I will do better next time.Lyndsey is a common spelling for this name, just for the record.
I didnt know you did spell it wrong, kind of my point though

In women's skiing, I prefer Julia Mancuso to Lindsey Vonn. Mancuso seems a lot cooler to me. Vonn is a phony. I'm almost sorry I started this thread.

Apparently there is no love lost between her and Vonn. Here's what Julia had to say in People about Vonn.

"The best way to describe it is, it's one of mutual respect ... Lindsey and I spend a lot of time apart, so that makes it easier on the team. Last year when I was struggling, I cheered her on when she won the World Cup, and to be honest, I'm not sure she'd do the same for me."
