Mad Men on AMC (2 Viewers)

I'm looking forward to hearing Woz's thoughts.
Almost finished with season 2 (2 episodes left). It's getting much better and the fiancee and I are averaging about an episode/day. The whole Don and his wife thing is very interesting and we thought the take on homosexuality was pretty good. Don still reminds us as the ideal "guy from the rated R movie who you aren't sure if you like or not" character. Oh, and Joy =

What in the name of all that is good and holy does this mean?

I was more perplexed by "The whole Don and his wife thing is very interesting".

From Swingers. when they tell Mikey, "Don't be the PG-13 guy" but the "R-rated guy you don't know whether you like or not."

although not on the same level, Draper's desertion and living under a false identity and the corporate reaction is reminiscent of the PSU scandal? Pete is McCreary and Cooper et al is the Penn State brass who choose to look the other way to avoid some bad publicity.

in both cases management ignored felonious activity in the interests of the business.
Has Don Draper been diddling little boys?

Wat
do you guys need a puppet show?evidence comes to light that a valued employee(Sandusky/Draper) has committed scandalous and felonius acts. Management(Cooper/PSU) decides to ignore these acts ("I don't care") rather than report them, because reporting them would be bad for business.

:lmao: what the #### are you talking about?

"I don't have a contract." Great season finale - I'm a little bummed the season is over now.
So I just got Roku and I'm watching this for the first time on Netflix. What a freakin' awesome show so far. I can't believe Season 2 ends on Page 7 of this thread and there are 60 more pages :excited: I've zipped through the first twos seasons in about 2 weeks. The family backgrounds of my wife and I, along with many aspects of their respective characters are eerily similar to Betsy's and Don's.

Just watched the episode where Betty says she has Anthropology degree. So does my wife. :o Oh, and this also, "everything is not about you"

It took me a little under a month to watch all 65 episodes.

As I finished each season, I would read this thread up until the next season I had to watch.

I'm going to go against conventional theory here. I could be wrong, but I see Don turning down the advance in the last scene in the bar. Has the show ever made it "that" easy for the viewers?

Also, Don has chosen to remain faithful a few times while married to Megan. (he did nothing at the brothel) He walks away from her "scene" after being kissed and told that he was loved. He walks away content in things he could never get from his mom as she passed away and has been searching for his entire life. The show is also focused and has been escalating the differences between Megan and the mean, fat, mom. I don't think they are done with that yet. JMO.

If I'm wrong, Don turns into a :trainwreck: like we've never seen before.

Every episode has been so awesome in its own way. I'll never understand why people in these threads are so adamant about ranking the seasons and/or episodes. What a waste of time.
